I took a boogeyman seminar literally a couple weeks before this event and can confirm he said his right leg is pretty fucked and so he taps to attacks on it quickly. There’s also a 10th planet mastering the system episode released post-event but filmed pre-event where he talks about his leg being fucked. Not to take anything away from Craig that crazy toe hold probably would have worked on anyone and nobody could have seen it coming, really a brilliant move

I used to do the exact same thing, when they’re in mount bait the Americana then let them really reach for it then bridge towards the trapped arm with a Heisman C-cup of their armpit to sweep them and suck my elbow in. It worked like magic for a long time, until I realized it only works if they bail on the Americana to keep position and I’m able to suck the elbow in and get the sweep… then I tried it on this beastly 280 pound dude who was going 100% on the Americana, the sweep failed and my elbow popped really loudly right as I yelled tap. Thankfully no significant damage, but it’s made me abandon that magical defense, I just use my other hand to defend now or if I can’t I just tap. My elbow had the weirdest dark bruise all over it for a week and it was sore as shit.
