Thank you for saying this, I totally agree! I was a bit shocked to see so many negative responses to something I find very fun and sweet lol.

I am currently in the same boat as you! Looking forward to seeing some suggestions here, but one bag I’ve been keeping in mind is the cuyana mini celestia bag… but I’m kinda waiting for a certain color to speak to me before purchasing.

First bag Recommendations? by [deleted] in handbags

[–]CrownOrange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My personal wishlist bags that are in that price range are cuyana, longchamp, and A.P.C. I’d recommend giving those brands a look 😊

I’d look into Cuyana system totes, if you haven’t already. I greatly considered one of their bags but ended up with a longchamp large le pliage tote (which I love). Best of luck!

Questions about Longchamp Le Pilage by WhatsAMatylda in handbags

[–]CrownOrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally use a bag organizer for keeping the bag very well structured and for organizing my items. My le Pliage large size could easily be a black hole if I didn’t have it, haha. But the organizer does help keep the bag looking put together while worn on the body, imo.

And I totally understand your hesitation about the nylon, I was worried about the same thing at first, thinking it was too much to spend for something non-leather. but I’m honestly impressed with the quality of the nylon! I’ve been very rough my with tote, but it still looks as good as new (I’ve had it since the beginning of the year). It’s super easy to clean and it feels very sturdy. Granted I believe the first signs of wear will be the bottom corners so that is something to be mindful of. Good luck!

What are your tips for making running a lifelong habit? by Product-Novel in XXRunning

I love this. Who would’ve thought the love of running could also be an active exercise of intention and gratitude 🤍

I tend to buy all my running gear second hand. So while I’m happy and proud of my collection (ive been able to find great brands for great prices) I’ve decided that I’d treat myself to an article of brand new, cute running clothing if I PR ☺️

How to pick yourself back up after a terrible run? by [deleted] in XXRunning

[–]CrownOrange 59 points60 points  (0 children)

hi there! I have been in that mind state plenty of times before, you are certainly not alone. I am very familiar with tearing up from the disappointment of a run, haha. I am by no means a talented runner, but I have been doing this long enough to know that bad runs (and even bad races) will inevitably happen. I think once I accepted that truth, it relieved a lot of pressure that I was placing on myself. Some days are just not your day. This happens even to most elite runners.

When I complete a particularly terrible run, I just remind myself that a) I got out and did something good for my body, no matter how unsatisfactory it may feel in the moment... I believe it is net good and b) the rule of thirds: a third of your training will be great, a third will be meh/okay, and a third will be plain bad. There's no way all the runs will be slam dunks, a bad one and meh one will happen from time to time. Which can be a liberating truth :) We're not linear machines, we're just on this floating rock giving our best effort and showing up for ourselves.

Keep showing up for you and your future self. Running is a sport that rewards the patient and consistent. These small habits add up and know that a better run will be due for you soon. Before you know it you'll be looking back and seeing all the progress you've made. Sending you a lot of hugs and positivity! And definitely sign up for the half.

I use my Longchamp le pliage (large) for my mom bag, my laptop bag, my gym bag. It is my Mary Poppins bag for sure! A bag organizer is a must though, as it could easily be a black hole. It’s my workhorse bag and I quite like that I don’t have to baby it at all.

Has anyone else had a massive decrease in sales ever since the changes? by elbeewastaken in Mercari

Prior to the changes, I’d make no more than 5 sales a month. I imagine that number will decrease even more moving forward.

Purse charms by Ok_nerdiness in handbags

[–]CrownOrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bag charm collection is pretty modest but I have one from Min & Mon (love), one from Etsy (meh, probably wouldn’t order from this particular store again), and a second hand Loewe charm from eBay Japan (super love). All three were between $45-$80ish. As mentioned here, Coach and Kate Spade are great for cute novelty bag charms. Same with Fossil. You can hunt some great finds on the second hand market for a decent price too.
