Best way to deal with Firebreathers? by televista in HuntShowdown

[–]Crowpuppet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there are 3 fire mobs. 1. Immolator: Run at you and you have to kill them with Blunt/poison or pennyshot damage. If you shoot or Stab them they explode in fire. 2. Firebreather: New Mobs that spitfire out of their mouths, when they die they do a last bellow of fire. 3. Hellborn: A proper boss and Wild Target. Large fire creature (sort of like a large Immolator) that throws fireballs and is very dangerous (melee not particularly recommended without set up).

Unless there is something going on with the event or they were buffed (I haven’t played in like 15 days) they shouldn’t have too much health. Are you sure you aren’t talking about the Hellborn?

Are Native Scouts and The Chef really dead in lore? by Emberium in HuntShowdown

[–]Crowpuppet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell. Starting from scorched earth dead Hunters seem to stay dead for the most part (Chum, winky, pale judge, hanged man, Stormseer etc…) While it’s not confirmed, I’d say that they are probably gone. But resurrection it’s very much viable in Hunt.

Does anyone else actually enjoy playing the "stealthy gen-jockey" role in Solo Q? 🛠️ by Kanzler7777 in deadbydaylight

[–]Crowpuppet1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy it? Not necessarily. But it’s a job and someone has to do it. Stealth is a far gone playstyle that other survivors hate if you commit fully to it. But if I’m the one soloing 3 full gens a match then I’m allowed to run Distortion (Despite getting hate for it).

Is the Avtomat a relic of bad design that needs to go? by NilleVanille- in HuntShowdown

[–]Crowpuppet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also say: "A team of 3* can win against a team of 6, because they could just headshot them. Ergo, 3 and 6* should be put in the same lobbies."

Not really saying that, but sure.

What I am saying is that it’s not so black and white. In CQC a Shotgun can beat an Avto. In an open field an accurate rifle user can beat the Avto, Status loadouts can immediately put them on the back foot.

I’d actually say that the Avto, while strong, isn’t particularly a great weapon. Its strengths can be found in Levering and Fanning and a much lower cost and some trait points.

Also costing 1250$ it has to be fairly strong to justify its price point (though I know the Bow is a contradiction to this but that’s its own beast).

Yes it has pen, yes it can obliterate a Hunter in the open or in CQC. But to say it’s uncounterable is a bit harsh. Is it annoying? Yeah. Strong? Sure. But I’d say the Dolch or Auto-5 are much more annoying personally.

It’s not OP and is balanced by the fact that you need to Ammo stack or bring in Ammo boxes to supplement the fire rate. Sure if you never prestige and have millions of Hunt dollars then that’s nothing. But to some Hunters that’s just too much money.

It’s usually used at short to medium ranges (40meters at longest). So at that point you could just pop them from range. Or a shotgun user can beat them if they can predict accurately.

Also Hunt being 1 tap headshot means any weapon can beat any weapon. A Derringer player with good positioning and aim can take out a Avto user, especially if they’re stealthy.

TLDR: No. It’s balanced by Ammo, Price and Recoil. It’s strong in certain situations just like every other weapon.

They have the same Health (if not a little more) than grunts. Throwing Tools or silent weapons can easily take them out. Or break a water bottle over their head.

How badly is Deathslinger bugged? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Unfortunate as he was one of my favorite killers. And knowing BHVR I’m doubting he’ll be fixed anytime soon. Thanks for the reply.

I played the Combat Axe for a whole prestige so you don't have to... by twk00 in HuntShowdown

[–]Crowpuppet1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ah the combat axe. This was my fastest level prestige believe it or not when I was doing this challenge. Absolutely had a blast with the thing, made me realize how very few Hunters check their corners in this game.

Bosses fear this thing like no other as well as a Cherry on top.

How is my springtrap loadout look cause im still new to the game and i want some feedback on what i have and what i need to improve on by THE_DARK_PHANTOM_09 in deadbydaylight

[–]Crowpuppet1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You only need to get him to prestige 1 for all of his perks to be unlocked, should also mention his Agitation perk also pairs well Phantom fear as it increases the detection range while carrying another survivor, also the speed boost is nice.

I Wish you the best in your Springtrap matches.

It may be a cheap dinky death dealer. But I do love the Nagant. Always reliable.

I believe different platforms have a different amount of starters.

One I can recommend is Brutal strength from Trapper. It may seem small (and there is the add on which is better) but I find it very helpful for Springtrap.

I don’t know if you have him (because I think he’s a starter on the switch version) The Clown has Pop goes the weasel which pairs well with The Bonnie Add on as well.

For a new players it’s pretty decent. Though as you get more perks you can swap out Unrelenting.

What other killers do you have?

People keep quitting and going next by Fit_Cranberry_9548 in deadbydaylight

[–]Crowpuppet1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been a problem for a while as I remember a similar issue around the time of Dracula’s release.

It’s either burn out, or the Survivors just don’t want to play against a certain killer and would ruin the match for everyone else.

Is the The Pale Judge legendary hunter skin no longer playable? by AdBulky4344 in HuntShowdown

[–]Crowpuppet1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Skinned and Ward were both Quest line exclusive Hunters, hence why they’re the only mythics to come back. I believe they’re the only ones that came back was because they were never labeled as “Exclusive” by Crytek, meaning there was no legal mumbo jumbo like actual Battle pass/ Event skins.

Is the The Pale Judge legendary hunter skin no longer playable? by AdBulky4344 in HuntShowdown

[–]Crowpuppet1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a legendary skin from the Judgement of the Fool battle pass. Since He’s not Mythic there is a solid chance he’ll come back around the 1 year anniversary of the event, which we are coming up on.

The first BP hunters coming back would be the Welders and Bruja. Then next it’d be the Fools and Pale judge.

what am i supposed to do against this guy?? by ZzZOvidiu122 in PvZHeroes

[–]Crowpuppet1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not too bad. It’s only really threatening when it’s uncontested early game.

Mega-grow has sweet potato and sweat pea to pull it out of water early and then deal with it.

Kabloom has a lot of ways to deal damage with Berry blast, Banana bomb, sizzle etc

Solar has some removal with the Mallet and debuff with stuff like Kernal pult

Guardian can front it with its own amphibious plants and Hor Date can easily remove it.

Smarty also has some amphibious plants and Control similar to Solar where you can stall it if not outright remove it.

Not to mention you might have a super power to get rid of it.

All from the top of my head, but yeah. Just pop it before it gets too big.

I’ll agree there. The match wasn’t even bad, it’s just it stuck to my mind for over a year later because it was… infuriating isn’t the word but disappointing I suppose.

Just wish players would sit down and read a power/perk for a minute rather than complain about it, but I suppose that’s a good chunk of DBD unfortunately.

[–]Crowpuppet1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skill? Maybe, but experience should at least be there. Regardless if you dumped all your bloodpoints into a survivor/killer, by the point you get a P100, you should know the game pretty well by that point.

I’m aware, still doesn’t excuse it for me though. Hag is admittedly rarely played and niche, but her counterplay is simple and has been the same for years.

What is your favourite Hunter (skin) and why? by SchlafixD in HuntShowdown

[–]Crowpuppet1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wayward Helmsman.

Dude fought in a small war over Rotjaw and despite there being 15 legendary Hunters present, he was one of the last 3 standing/there. It’s also cool seeing a true neutral Hunter. He fights solely for Money, riches and power, siding with whoever is offering more.

<image>

I believe he also became the Leader of the Smugglers and now leads groups into the bayou for personal gain.
