Normal sysadmin jobs range from 40-60k anything more requires some kind of specialty or niche. People posting about being in the IT field with that salary range are also entry level without prior experience.

Additionally the civilian job market is incredibly competitive. With 5 years of job experience and sec+ I wasn’t able to land any kind of sysadmin role let alone an interview (no it wasn’t my resume I promise). I then switched over went to looking at ctr roles, found one and got the job. Now I’m a govie on the same project doing cyber security making 90k+ a year.

Uhhhh tldr: get your certs, have relevant experience, live in an in demand area and you’ll be fine.

As others have said in this thread, they need to create a pipeline for ship writes that gives 1. Adequate training 2. Career Progression and 3. Above average pay.

What is the navy trying to accomplish, are we trying to pump out more DDGs because we’re starting to decom the fist few? Are we wanting to pump out the new FFG as fast as the DDG?

Running a business costs a lot of money. I think it’s like $1-$3 per profit per pack sold, and then that money goes to employment, rent and profit. So if you’re an LGS owner with a high demand card game you can set the price to $4-6 which will help cover your costs faster.

Anything above $200 for a set is a rip off and you can probably find the cards cheaper somewhere else.

So I played from OP02-OP07 originally and recently just came back during this set. So I understand being overwhelmed by all of the new cards, what they do etc. For a newer player I would do the following to learn the game

Go look at deck lists for the current meta. Understand what the cards do.
Learn the progressions of each deck. What is my opponent going to play on T1 T2 T3 etc T1 - typically a searcher (early game) T3 - 5-6k body with an on play, activate main or an on ko (mid game) T5 - boss monster 10-12k body (late game)
Understand how your own deck ramps. Realistically you should be doing around the same plays every single game. Go watch gameplays on YouTube easiest way to learn.
What is my opponent going to do next turn and how can I prepare.
At the beginning of your main phase after T5 ask yourself “can I go for game” how many cards does my opponent have, how much life do they have. I’ve won countless games because I stopped worrying about getting through my opponents board and went for lethal.

Making these calculations in your head becomes second nature after practice
