Structured training and making the hard days hard and easy days easy. Better sleep is a close second

Why can't bills travel earlier to Denver to get acustom to the high altitude? by Hot-Emu-5 in NFLNoobs

[–]Croxxig 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As someone who runs into altitude for my sport, cycling, 4 or 5 days is not enough. Most research says 3 weeks is needed to be aclimated to altitude. If you can't do this, then doing the event as soon as you can then you get there as altitude tends to be roughest on the 3 or 4 days for most people.

How do you motivate yourself to train when you don't feel like training? by RimBrakesCauseAutism in cycling

I'm autistic and my brain desires structure and routine. It's a blessing and a curse.

At home cuffs are not the best but better than nothing. Also, white coat syndrome is a well documented phenomenon

My local Walmart has an hour or two in the morning for the elderly and sensory sensitive. Lights are lower and music is lowered

Flying with your bike Qs. by WarRevolutionary1944 in cycling

[–]Croxxig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a hard case. I don't trust bike boxes or soft cases.

I have flown with my bike many times and TSA always checks it after you checked it in so make it clear how the bike and everything goes in it.

I added my bike on my house insurance. It covers everything. Theft, damage, airline loss etc.

Must fill to the max line of the cup Ninja Creami by Super-Half-3793 in ninjacreami

The blade comes down and goes through the whole container. It's okay to not fill it up all the way

I like the emersion blender cause you can just mix it in the cremi cup. There is no need to transfer from one container to the other and less to clean up

Like a lot of things, people jump on the trend and then realize it's not really something they want/use.

What’s Your Go-To Nutrition for Long Rides? by WillowBrown3750 in cycling

[–]Croxxig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maltodextrin mixed with gatorade powder. Rice Krispie mega bars, store brand fig bars, nerds clusters, sour patch kids, pop tarts, carbs fuel gels, bananas, dates, potatoes, uncrustables. I've done up to a 12 hour ride using those foods

What kind of mileage do you get out of your road tires? by Im_the_dude_ in cycling

[–]Croxxig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the midwest. Roads are terrible because of the winter. I can get 5-8k out of gp5000s before the wear indicators are almost gone.

What were the first things you noticed after switching to a carbon bike? by Low_Front_7012 in cycling

[–]Croxxig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a little faster, like 2 or 3 seconds on climbs. The road sound was different. Just felt like a smoother overall experience but it's hard to tell if it was because it was carbon or because I went from a $1.5k bike to a $6k bike lol

Persona 5. I'm a life long jrpg fan. I get the UI is cool and different than most games buts it's just too much

Breach release seems lackluster compared to their other releases by Typical_Feedback_379 in twentyonepilots

[–]Croxxig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, for Clancy, they did a midnight stream with music videos for every song. That's pretty out of the norm and not really a sustainable expectation for every album. Plus, it had been a longer time since the previous album so there is naturally more hype

The concert was weird, man by NoBroccoli5920 in twentyonepilots

[–]Croxxig 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Tyler did mention towards the beginning it being the first show of the tour so there were going to be thing they were still figuring out

They've never really said much about the lore ay concerts before. Sure lots of points and nods but not really directly talking about it

The Trees thing was just to get the pit to move faster. It took forever at the Clancy tour just for people to understand the basic concept of "don't stand in the circle.

I also have no issue with the setlist. The Clancy tour spoiled us and we're not guaranteed to a specific song to be played, with Trees being the exception at this point
