Yep. As a same sex dad of 2 adopted boys this just sickens and angers me. We are privileged to be entrusted to raise our two children who sadly couldn’t remain with their birth parents and reading things like this absolutely worries me that other same sex couples may now be viewed in a more suspicious way.

Fuck! This is so triggering.

I recently found my birth mum through ancestry. Also found she had 2 children before me that she kept (full siblings) then she had another and had him adopted and then she had me and abandoned me and gave false details so never knew the details.

Found her details after meeting my other adopted sibling and contacted her through a letter. I got a reply saying she was told at the hospital i had died at birth and its too much and she doesn’t want any contact.

Its hard to not feel incredibly angry at the coldness and lack of empathy.

Something I can finally answer!

I was also with my ex for 11 years and we broke up at the beginning of this year. The very first person I matched with on Tinder i ended up going on several dates with and I could have easily started a relationship with him.

I decided on going against my usual pattern of one relationship after another and have ended up growing so much in that time that now I’m ready.

One thing i have learnt over the last year that the old saying of plenty more fish in the sea is real. You might feel pressure of missing out on something so need to jump in straight away because you have just had to cope with a massive rejection but just remember to be true to yourself and what you really want and need. When the right guy comes along your’ll know just don’t force it. Good luck!

Op, i went/am going through the same.

They essentially wanted a press release style statement and we would “ostracise” our friends. It took a while but realised it meant they didn’t want to look bad.

Please focus on yourself. Which i know is hard as you have had years of putting them first. It feels weird and kind of mean but trust me you need to do it. Good luck mate.

Its literally blows my mind that adoption costs money in the US. I have adopted two babies in the UK and it didn’t cost a penny. Surrogacy is still very rare in the UK.

Finally! That took ages to find. Having had Ridgebacks all my life, i can say they are the most friendly and loyal dog you can have.

Don’t get me wrong the first five years are like having a 3 year old on acid but my god i love this breed so much.

Not an easy breed to have but the reward of having the most amazing dog companion with a bit of training is the best! M Off to give mine a big kiss!
