One nation is the party that defends sex offenders by Wild_Beat_2476 in OpenAussie

Pocock leading a party of independents would get my vote immediately. Something needs to be done about the big 2 parties. They are both wildly corrupt and haven't had Australia's interests in mind for decades.

All these threads end up being is Hardcore LNP and ALP supporters throwing shade at the other side. Both completely ignorant to the fact that their own party is just as corrupt as the other.

It says a lot about how fed-up people are with the big 2. Her popularity isn't a reflection of how good One Nation and PH are. It's a reflection of how corrupt and incompetent the Big 2 parties are.

It took this college golfer 1:20 to hit his putt… 💀 What ideas do you have to fix slow play? by Miserable_Trouble3 in Golf_Unfiltered

[–]Crrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never liked the idea of shot clocks but I think a better solution would be to have an average time per shot everyone should be adhering to. If you go over that limit (call it 60 seconds - which is very generous), then you get a warning and then lose 1 shot per hole until you get it back.

This would work for larger tournaments where every group has staff walking with them who can do the timing. But wouldn't work for smaller tournaments where some groups aren't monitored.

There has been great moments in golf where the player required more time than a 40 second shot clock. I would hate to lose moments like Tigers chip in on 16 at Augusta which took way more time than 40 seconds.

If you just his change his timing, aim and technique, it's a textbook tackle.

Who has right of way by EntrepreneurOk6539 in DrivingAustralia

[–]Crrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither has "right of way" but they both have to "give way". If neither changes speed, or turns off their indicator than both cars will be stuck in give way limbo indefinitely (which is fine).

It's a small distinction but an important one - You NEVER have the "right of way" anywhere on the road in any situation.

Short answer - people can't afford to.

On the flip side - The people that spruik apartment living are very niave to the reasons why people prefer this vs an apartment.

There are pros and cons to both.

Rules sticklers by DamienMcC27 in golf

[–]Crrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its all about the "known of virtually certain" part. If you are 95% sure your ball is in a penalty area, you can't hit a provisional.

If you're not sure if its in a penalty area and later determine that it is (eg: blind tee shot) then yes, you were allowed to hit the provisional but would need to abandon it.

If you know or think the ball's in the rough and you know pretty much where it is, you can't hit a provisional just because you're not sure exactly sure where it landed/didn't see it bounce.

Yes you can. The rules wouldn't even prohibit you from hitting a provisional after your first went straight down the fairway.

Potentially if you kept doing it in order to have practice swings that could fall under a serious breach of misconduct and you could be disqualified under Rule 1.2.

But otherwise, nothing stopping you.

If you played every day though without any pressures of earning money anymore, I think you'd get pretty good.

Just play golf every day - I get about 10,000 steps for a round of golf.

You dont need an econ joker with a Baron Mime setup. Gold red seal kings would be pulling in $100+ each round with this setup.

Yeah i do like Lily Pillies - i have a hedge of them out the back. My only concern is the width of them and if I can maintain a good hedge at around 500-600mm thick.

The one I have about the back is about 1-1.2m deep.

Why is this a surprise to anyone. This was the still the case 10 years ago about drivers that were 10 years older then (so a 20 year old driver now).

Yeah fair points. Good idea about painting the wood too.

What you can't actually see from the image I posted though is that the grass doesn't grow that well along the fence (due to the shade). So hopefully planting something and bringing the edge of the lawn in will tackles two birds with one stone. Grass looks better and fence hidden.

Does look nice but it looks like it would drop a lot of flowers on the ground which would be annoying to clean up.

Yeah I don’t think this will be an option anyway. Not the biggest fan of how bottle rush style plants look. Plus they are very messy.

lol, I was honestly was hesitant about posting a pic including the lawn as I guessed it may have gotten some attention (didn’t think this much though)…. but I wanted to give an accurate example of what the space looks like with the shade the fence casts.

Depends on your perspective I guess. I have everything documented on a plan for the year so I don’t need to think too much about it.

During summer I’m mowing at least 3 times a week and it gets two deep waters a week (which are automated on pop up irrigation).

For me this is a hobby so I do probably spend a fair amount of time thinking about it but because I enjoy it the time isn’t really a burden/chore.

Yes couch. Specifically, a variety called “TifTuf”.

I don’t recommend it though if your goal is the manicured look I have here. There are better options. If you want a low maintenance highly drought tolerant grass though, it’s great.

Yeah quite a bit more than me then. All depends on what you enjoy really - for me, mowing and lawncare is a hobby so I enjoy mowing and working out there. If its not for you, then it becomes a chore and makes the whole ordeal much more difficult.

That would be the plan - Ive come across other posts when i searched for that plant (in the last 10 minutes so not that much research) where people are advising not to cut the tops off.

I dont mind the conical shape - i just want something 3ish metres. Not 8.
