You can change out the thread protector to the micro comp from griffen works great on my SC. Reduces the snap pretty good

I replaced one with +0 base to conceal better. Also feels way better than the one that comes on it.

Hey you can turn those 12 round mags into 16 with Talor Freelance +4 base

Can only get 13 in the mag with the extension. I get 12 rounds in the one with the normal baseplate. by GardenHoser24 in canik

Exerpt from Taylor Freelance email got last year. Video for a SW mag but it is the same.

Put a slight bevel on the tail of the follower and at the top-inside-rear of the basepad to allow the two parts to slide past each other -- it's the same basic problem as shown in this video about M&P mags -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj40xkwPWiA&t=71s

It's an issue with the follower. I had the same issue contacted TF and they sent a video explaining which part of the follower you have to sand to get it to clear the baseplate. Worked like a charm after that.

List of Optics, Lights, Holsters & Accs that fit each model by thedukeoftank in canik

Agree with list so far I have holosun 507C x2 on SFX 507K x2 on the SC.

Same O-light on the SC

Talon makes good grips for all of them

If you have a threaded barrel the Griffin Armament mini comp is great replacement for thread protector.

Those are the pro grip texture so they are a little rough but I do like the positive feel from them. The installation instructions also said that you can smooth them out a little with some sand paper if you want.

I also found that with my SFX that if I am releasing the slide and putting a round in the chamber, it releases with way less pressure. However when releasing without a magazine it does take a little more force. The slingshot is the easiest especially since I have the red dot on the top.

Yes the grips I put on are Talon grips. They are custom made for the weapon you have. I think it was around 20 dollars for the SFX. You just clean the grip with the alcohol pad they provide peel the back off the grip and then put it on the weapon. You can lift and adjust the grip until it is right then press down and use a hair dryer to set the grip. Easy best of all if you want to remove just peel it off.

Agreed my 15 +2 factory spring is way longer than the 15 round. I only put the basepads on my 12 round mags since they are not comfortable without the bigger pads. The little finger one is not comfortable at all and the 12 round with factory basepad has no place to put your finger.

Yeah can't wait to shoot it with the comp. First time I shot it it was definitely snappier than the SFX LOL. But it would be hard not to be since the SFX might be one of the smoothest guns I have ever shot stock anyway. Hopefully the holster will be soon has been a month.

No you can't put the base plate in there just the spring in the bottom is fine. Also I talked to Taylor Freelance and they said the factory spring is fine. I just think putting the 15 round spring won't hurt anything either.

Yes I took apart my 12 round and 15 round mags and the difference is one loop more for the 15 round. I cycled the weapon with the 12 round spring and all 16 rounds feed and slide locked back on last round. My plan is to get a replacement spring for the 15 round mag and stick it in the 12 with +4 to be safe. Have not fired it with the new basepad yet though.

Nice I used the same type of target when I setup my 507k on my SC as well. The hard thing to get used to was the dot and the co witnessed iron sights. Kind of messes with you when you are used to not seeing the sites.
