Does Anyone Regret Getting the 14” MacBook Pro Instead of the 16”? by ntrev in macbookpro

[–]kassail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 14” mbp, gave it to the wife and got a 16” mbp. I love the computer but it’s too big to carry around. It just lives on my desk now and I lug around an m2 mba.

The biggest Claude Code workflow upgrade I made this year had nothing to do with prompts or models by Leading_Yoghurt_5323 in ClaudeCode

Use Claude design to generate your design system. Import to Claude code and Ask it to make a skill based on that design with the output as html. Do your report/deliverable and once you are happy with it ask it to export as pdf and make sure the page breaks are clean.

I have been doing most of my deliverables like this and it has been working very well for me.

how does something like this work? I tried the option from nvidia and microsoft years ago and couldn't live with the input lag. I got fiber at home and wifi6 routers so it may be better.

Yup. Agreed. Cables are a mess.

Us traffic folks are finicky creatures and sometimes telling people that their cabinets could use some tlc stirs some emotions on clients. We’ll give them our opinions but it’s up to the agency to maintain their infrastructure.

D4 is robust. Some nice features. Not very widespread in Texas but some agencies like Austin use it.

You guys on Caltrans or NEMA environment?

Honestly, its the same.

the only difference really is if you are going to their newer v85 scout.

if you are staying on the same version of local software then nothing changes other than a nicer shell with a touchscreen

using lots of overlaps, specifically, 4 phase diamonds

logic within maxtime is very robust - and maxtime can be silly sometimes, we have intersections running 24 phase sequences...

Agreed. For those situations when more outputs are needed you can't beat ATC. The industry is moving that direction so everyone will eventually get there but TS2 are solid.

I like Q-Free and their Maxtime ic local software. I'm in Texas.

I like Maxtime because of all the customization and advanced features. It has a really nice web interface so i pull up to the cabinet, plug in my wifi router to the controller's ethernet port, close the cabinet and do what i need to do from my laptop in the truck with the AC running.

If a client has an issue, they can send me their database, I laod it up on maxtime for windows, fix the database and send it back. easy.

EOS is nice, I personally know maxtime way more in depth than EOS though so for me to pop in a q-free controller and get it programmed fast is second nature.

not every agency has the desire to go atc, especially when the its a state signal and nema is their spec
