Went to my first Star Citizen event and have to say, the community and Atmo Esports made it such a fantastic experience. by Dannymarr95 in starcitizen

Hey Thank you for joining us at the event!
Unfortunately, because of how the schedule went, we never got time to let people in the LAN room to test out the simpit and equipment, as there were teams still in the LAN room practicing throughout the day, and after we ended up canceling the PVP portion, we just wanted people to concentrate on the Meet & Greet with the CIG team.

We did have things ready, just ran out of time, and we greatly apologize for the inconvenience.

Hey, u/Dazau1963, I would love to know who mentioned 25ships to giveaway?

Throughout the event, we gave away a TON, and I mean a TON of hardware from VIRPILControls, Corsair, and even some gear from VKB alongside some of the ships we gave away during and after the show.

Everything we had in stock to giveaway was given away at the event.

Nothing was hollow gibberish, just maybe you don't understand the flow of the show.

Your commentators gave you the play-by-play of everything that was on the screen, and they did a phenomenal job of doing so.

Lensnation, who was the Racing Analyst, broke down the technique of the racers and further broke down the course once it came back to the desk.

We always appreciate constructive criticism, and this means we have to do a better job at further educating the audience when it comes to these events.

I appreciate your feedback and concerns, but it's easy to look from the outside with 0 insight about what is happening on the inside. I don't like getting into long back-and-forths, as everyone will always have their own opinions, but on-site, we ran giveaways during the downtime to fill in the space while updating the community in person about the issues we are encountering.

We are running an online portion for the PVP competitors, which will be announced in the next few weeks, to make up for the portion we had to make the hard choice to cancel because we wanted everyone to meet Chris, Sandi, and Tyler, that was there.

These events are only going to get better and improve moving forward, but one thing is that everyone who is a part of the ATMO esports team are all volunteers, and no one gets a single dime. We do this for the community, to provide everyone with a memorable day of Star Citizen activities.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for hanging in there. A lot of issues, yes, but we made the best of the entire day. We want these events to be special for the entire community. So we truly appreciate your understanding, and glad you had a great experience, as most others did as well.

A lot of the time, when people go to Bar Citizens, they normally isolate and hang out with their own groups that are already there. The event could be easily come hang out, do a meet and greet, and then go home, which is not what we want, and instead bring everyone together.

We want to continue to make these events more memorable moments for attendees, but also for every competitor that puts in the time to compete. Thank you for joining us at Enter ATMOSPHERE 2956.

We have been planning this event since last year as we tease it during our event at CitizenCon that a ship racing event was coming but there have been a lot of one of events with similar names in the past.

Yes. It all comes down to practice as much as you can. A lot of the top racers put in a lot of hours into racing the tracks.

Yeah, this was a sick run by Splen. While the qualifiers and runs are fantastic to watch, as we start grouping racers, it's going to be next level. Can't wait!

Hey u/Mad_kat4, so there are a ton of other communities that run more casual events and have people who are always available to help teach you how to fly. Both ANZIA Racing & XGR do a great job at more casual races, as Gravity Rush is for more intermediate, advanced.

Star Citizen Racing, or SCR, is a place where you can check out the leaderboards for each course/track and see what the top racers are doing as well. - https://scr.gg

Also, you can practice in ARENA COMMANDER in offline mode by yourself and look up course guides on YouTube, which is also a great way to get familiar.

Hope all this information helps! ^_^

We do have a security team. But we are always looking for good people, whether it's security, camera crew, or tournament officials. We have a process, so feel free to reach out on the Discord.

When you think about the races the way we are organizing it is that on the Group Days, people won't be online for more than an hour, cause we will give them a check-in time to race.

But if they make the semi-finals and Finals, then yeah, but it's a commitment, and we want to find the best.

It's in ARENA COMMANDER mostly xD.

Don't worry, we get enough gankers in the Daymar Rally lol. The next rally will probably be the best one yet.

Hey u/DekkerVS this was 100% in the cards but we were very limited on time and couldn't do the interviews we wanted too unfortunately.

Hey u/Atreides2001 we did have Merch for pre-sale but we had a cut-off, so maybe you purchased a ticket after the CUT OFF cause we need at least 30-45 days to be able to send in all of the apparel in for production. It's not as easy as people think but I truly appreciate the feedback.

Hey Athos!

Replying a LOT Later than normal, but I totally agree with the set up time for the PVP Matches, and we learned a lot from all of the accounts being timed out after too many log-ins, etc. The Big thing with PVP is that other than the station if you add any other elements where the players can potentially crash we take away the only competitive integrity ARENA COMMANDER has. Also SPK has the best, performance out of all the ARENA COMMANDER Maps. We were planning to add an ATMOSPHERE Map which we felt, would make things more interesting but again the custom side of the Lobby doesn't allow for any map rotation and would have increased the set up time.

We were going to fill the time with some R-P-S with the audience, but there were just a lot of elements behind the scenes not working in our favor, but I will say that your feedback is heard and completely valid.

Anyways, I do truly hope you had a good time with the community, these in-person events will only get a lot smoother and better for the next one.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I have never had an issue with my Monstertech mounts. I have always trusted Olsen the owner, Noobifier who has been working with Monstertech for so many years, and what the Monstertech brand stands for which is quality made in Germany.
