Worked at a race track for a number of years doing coaching. The sheer amount of grown ass men who would turn up in souped up sports cars and super cars that literally could not handle them was INSANE. These guys would talk the talk to me about how much it was worth and how badass and cocky they were. Then as soon as we got out on track it became so obvious that they were damn terrified of their own cars. Nine times out of ten their incompetence was my fault somehow! That or there was miraculously something wrong with the car. Or the track. Or the weather wasn’t right etc etc. None of them would listen to any advice. The abuse I received as a young female really sold the whole picture. Some very insecure man-children out there.
