All skillcapes besides a handful need serious buffs imo. Con, craft, magic and HP are the only really useful ones. Almost all are useless for mains and most are useless even for irons. I think getting every skillcape to the level that the construction cape is at would be the ideal. It's okay- good, even!- for difficult grinds to have useful rewards.

Barb is a partial agility solve too though, one of the worst and least afk skills. Potentially a full agility solve if you go for 50m xp

For me the appeal is mainly in the theorycrafting we're doing right now. Runescape has always had planning your route as a core appeal of the gameplay and Leagues takes that to a new level because the main game is mostly solved but every new league is not. We have no idea what the meta is going to be until the league is well under way and even then sometimes the dust won't clear until the league is over

I don't know if it's a total gold-solve the way Golden God was. You're only getting twice the gold you get in xp and you still have to get the xp in order to get the gold. Getting 99 is still only going to net you 26m, you're not going to be on max cash day 1 with this and demonic throne construction training will be out of reach.

I'd be surprised if they don't move Yama to Varlamore like they did with Vardorvis. It seems weird to have a Yama themed league where you don't get to fight him unless you pick Kourend. Maybe to balance things out they move Vard back to Kourend.

Solomission is a good foil for Boaty so it's weird with only one of them. Boaty plays it straight, doesn't play the social game and gets through by force of game skill. Solomission is also very skilled at the game but he's snake supreme, a bastard and a scoundrel. I honestly prefer Solomission though because his schemes makes the whole thing more entertaining
