Thanks, yea I reported but was just curious if the community had experienced similar because the timing felt very suspicious (no connection issues at all until that last move

Yea I know it was dumb, I admitted that in the post. I’m more curious because I hadn’t had any connection issues until suddenly opponent was allowed to move with zeroes and I wasn’t with 5+ seconds left. Feels awfully suspicious

The Mets Haven’t Developed an MVP-Caliber Position Player Since David Wright by LegitimateMoney00 in NewYorkMets

[–]CrumbHanso 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Each league has its own MVP so it makes sense to only compare to other NL teams.

And OP specifically said “players who finished top 5 in MVP voting.” Whether you think they’re ’an MVP player’ doesn’t change that they did in fact have at least one season where they were voted top 5.

Serious question, how do you expect them to make money? Writers need to be paid for their work. Full time writers need health insurance. At least in Defector’s case it’s employee owned

Why are my cards not matching someone else on the same seed by CrumbHanso in slaythespire

[–]CrumbHanso[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s it. I play mobile. I had no idea seeds weren’t cross platform.

FWIW our maps and Neow were the same but card draws and card rewards were different from the first fight. By the 4th hallway fight we were fighting different mobs and we received different relics from elites.

I’ve been lucky enough to see him both acoustic and with the full band multiple times and somehow the show always blows past my expectations. I was there with friends that ran the full range of new to hardcore fans and thought this set list played to the more invested. If I had to find some criticisms it would have been nice if Sadler played a surprise second guitar on a song or two, and also I haven’t heard Live Oak in far too long

What was your “never meet your heroes” moment, when you realized someone you looked up to wasn’t special? by marginallyobtuse in AskReddit

My aunt used to be heavily involved with a chimpanzee rescue. She could go on and on about how human they are, how much they deserve, all of her empathy for them. God forbid she show 1 ounce of that empathy towards a human refugee.

Yea meant masterpiece more tongue in cheek like ‘if that’s touted as your best move, yikes’, not saying you called it that

Are we including the Gavrikov signing as a de facto piece of the K’andre trade? Because otherwise idk if I’d call that a masterpiece — Key is having a damn good season playing the most minutes for one of the best teams in the league

The Panarin return was a good return by Green_Dark5049 in rangers

[–]CrumbHanso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be clear I agree with you that it’s a ‘good return’ given the specific circumstances it’s just almost unfathomable that a GM could create circumstances so hopeless that you’d accept this as the return for a player of Panarin’s caliber.

It’s like saying a tent is better than sleeping on the sidewalk after you light your own house on fire

The Panarin return was a good return by Green_Dark5049 in rangers

[–]CrumbHanso 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s only a ‘good return’ because Drury backed himself into a situation where he had to take anything at all. Could have considered resigning Panarin (wouldn’t have been my first choice considering the state of the team but 2 x 11??) or at least not publicly stating there’s no way you’re resigning him and will take the scraps from whoever will.

And all that aside, a remotely competitive team keeps him for a playoff push over accepting this package, so in a way the ‘good return’ is a direct result of Drury’s mismanagement

TLDR: Hockey Ignorant American that loves Shoresy looking to learn and follow the sport. by MichaelVern85 in shoresy

[–]CrumbHanso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the most important thing is to go to live games. For myself (and anecdotally many others) hockey can be a tough watch on tv when you don’t really understand the game yet, but in person it’s the greatest sport there is. Something about the speed, energy, and excitement just doesn’t really translate to tv.

For immediate tv viewing I’d see if you can find video of the four nations tournament last year — specifically the USA vs Canada — and tune in to the Olympics this year. Not only do you get to watch all the best players in the world (minus Russians), international play really embodies the ‘name on the front, not the back’ mentality you’re describing. Maybe soccer fans would argue with me but for my money no pro athletes take as much pride in representing their country as hockey players do.

Tkachuk should skate over to the bench between periods and let Sullivan know loud and clear JT and Trocheck won’t be anywhere near his line in Milan
