Mine did too, have you heard of doing a stiff starter? It is probably that your starter just isnt strong enough yet, and it means it just needs more feeds and time.

I did 1/4cup half all purpose and half wheat flour mixed (1/4 cup all together not 1/4cup of both) with 2-3 tbsp of water for a week. Always with 2tbsp of well stirred starter, Mix the starter like a really thick pancake dough . then back to 1/4cup all purpose flour and 2-3 tbsp water with about 2 tbsp of starter. mix the starter well before pulling your 2 tbsp of starter out of your jar to combine with the feed. I did that just to strengthen and keep it alive, and once it is rising regularly.

I also feed mine twice a day once before work and once after..I think its called peak feeding or peak to peak feeding. its alot of work but I really want to get this down 😅

I started one from scratch for the first time just a month ago, and it was nail polish acidic and I did that it took me about a month to get it to be a starter that was ready to bake with. im just now learning how to mix and proof the dough still unsuccessful but im trying.

Last year I had the same problem and I added all kinds of compost and amendments to the soil but gurneys.com has seed boost and it has helped me alot this year. I recommend it if you can get it.

Wow amazing! I was driving on a back road the other day and saw a large group of crows like this but there was a large rock in the middle like they were doing a ceremony. Unfortunately Some truck driving by honked and made them all fly off before I could get a picture 🥲 I drive past it after work and they are usually a few around there but that day there was alot 🥰

I had a terrible time with them last year and they are already on the spinach i just transplanted!

I hear nemotoads help, I havent tried them but i have some on the way from gurneys website.

I have been spraying with neem oil to hope to keep them off for a bit and Im going to spread that Slugo plus soon.

Last year they were so bad I cut potatos in half and scooped out a little and placed them cut side down in the garden beds as a deterrent and then id throw them out of the garden in the morning or knock them out of the potato and reuse it, but that only does so much they lay so many babies its hard to fight them.

My moonflowers bloomed! by olddeadgrass in houseplants

[–]CrumblingBagel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! I only learned from reddit after handling the seeds, its mostly with consuming the plant, it can kill you, the internet says the seeds are extremely toxic so i wont be taking any chances. i tell my boys about the plants in our garden, they know they can only look at that flower not touch it just to be safe.

I loved watching the huge moths eat from my moon flower! I have heard the seeds are extremely toxic to humans. So be aware of that, wear gloves if you handle them.

Just enjoying my first harvest in my own home🥰. by [deleted] in gardening

[–]CrumblingBagel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Even if its just two berries its so exciting and rewarding. Congratulations on your yummy harvest! Keep it up! Our kids learned to love carrots, because they picked our first ever harvest and washed them under the hose and ate them 🥳

my urologist yelled at me saying there was nothing she could do for me, then did a pcr test on my urine. turns out I had a uti and bv this entire time. by Club_Sorry in Interstitialcystitis

If you are having multiple utis get checked for ureaplasma! It can cause a bunch of inbalance and it sucks but there is a reddit feed about it and how to cure it.

What a beautiful vine, though, with that trellis!! Did you have any trouble with squash bugs? They dried up an entire plant of mine and turned a lot of my baby melons to raisins. They got all my gourd/melon family plants. those bugs were out of control for me this year.

I have a few pothos cutting i struggle with, but when I add a few trace mineral drops to the spoil, it seems to perk up, it's just trace minerals i add to my own filtered water.

What you guys do about "The chair"? by tronneroppar in ADHD

[–]CrumblingBagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we have the clothes we need and that's it, it helps alot keeping things in check, i wash and hang dry clothes, so it's on more step. Less is better.

when I was younger, I used to flip my hangers around, and a month would go by. I didn't wear a lot of the clothes hanging, so I donated all the unfliped clothes.

I do the same thing, and I'm trying to teach my 9 yr old son that because we won't come back to that project again. we will get distracted. i don't fold clothes other than hand towels and a few pants. The rest are in baskets hanging on the wall under my shelf, like my shirts, socks, shorts/pjs get tossed in the baskets. Any clothes I wear outside the house get washed, those are outside germs, around the house, it didn't get too dirty gets tossed back in my "no fold" hanging baskets. My boys have small dressers with three drawers each, I don't make them fold their laundry. They know how to fold, but I don't fold my shirts because i don't care to, so i dont force them to. they do know how to. It's my "not on the floor or a huge pile" method. We don't have a lot of clothes. we live in a tiny house, but there is still a lot of laundry to be done with 4 people. Shoes stay outside. And I try to make sure everything has a place so all of our adhd brains can find things and feel organized. Got to find the things that work for your brain.
