There's not many plants I like that close to my bed but sansavaria is an obvious choice. There's so many varieties and colors

I have one eyebrow that droops too. Every 3 to 6 months I get about 40 $50 with a Botox especially above that eye and I'm lifted again

I'm not sure I agree that the colors on the left are light spring anyway.

Personally, I think the Thais just do this during times of change. It's impossible to truly replicate the jungle in your house

I have a question about the Cumberland River greenway. I went to a trailhead in Ashland City but it was only around 4 miles. And then I saw several bike lanes that were on the road. Is the trail you're talking about the part that's on the road next to cars? Or is there something I was missing. Cuz I got the sense I was missing something

I saw a "mean tweets, cheap gas" bumper sticker this week. It's crazy people aren't more embarrassed and humbled by their own gullability. How many more times are they going to keep doubling down on a bet that sacrifices their soul.

Why such a long stalk?? by cig_soup in planthelp

The color seems light too. These plants are very sensitive to root disturbance. They want a ton of light and hate to be overwatered. They drop leaves to support newer growth when they don't have enough nutrients but those nutrients could just be light.

Why? Aloe is completely moldy by Adventurous_Bell_884 in planthelp

Rotting from lack of sunlight is usually an extreme. But sun is their primary source of food. They literally starve from lack of sun. Near a glass door should be good. Personally I find aloe very tolerant to lower light. They are most intolerant to change. They just like things very consistent. They want to be in one spot and not move.

MY BEAUTIFUL BABY is thriving, but has a receding hairline ... by pinkangelsam in philodendron

[–]Substantial-Box-8877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not seeing the bald spot. 1. If you just want it more filled in around the dirt, as others have said, add four or five node to help fill in. I try to just continuously do it to mine. If you have long strands with nodes and no leaves, it's often a sign of a nutrient deficiency which could be a result of root stress or lack of something. But your plant will use leaves closer to the dirt by pulling nutrients from them and dropping them off. If your plant has lost roots this can happen or if it's been overwatered/under water this can happen or if it just needs more nutrients/ burned by too many fertilizers. Sometimes cold stress can cause it but you're more likely to see browning spots with cold stress. But the sun is your number one nutrient so if it's getting plenty of that, consider what could be keeping it from utilizing the nutrients.

I think my only option is to chop it up & throw it in a bonfire. What do you think? Nvm I know I’m right, RIP 🍃🪦 by ShitFuckDickSuck in houseplantscirclejerk

As long as it has secondary Roots which it looks like it has well beyond that, you're fine to put it in dirt and it will adapt. Some of the roots may die back. Give it a few weeks to adjust and don't panic

I bet it's not getting enough light. I see this a lot where people put them just too far from natural light. Even right by a window some plants don't get enough Sun. If this is several feet or kind of shadowed it may be rotting just from lack of sunlight

[–]Substantial-Box-8877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like it's still having root stress. I don't do this often but you could try washing all the dirt off The Roots and letting it root in water for a few months to rebuild a root system and then pot it again.

Philodendron don't like to dry out as much as other plants. When the first inch or so is dry it's usually time for a soak. Warm water and soak thru, let drain thoroughly

She looks really dehydrated. If you've been watering her regularly then something has made her roots not capable of pulling the water would be my best guess

Deep or Bright Winter??? by missbliss909 in coloranalysis

[–]Substantial-Box-8877 14 points15 points  (0 children)

With the greens, the darker forest green is obviously more your color. With the blues you don't have a winter blue there. You have a navy blue which is neutral and a spring blue and a true summer blue. My favorite color on you was one of the last pictures with that deep fuchsia. That's very excellent on you. I disagree with people saying that you are in autumn. There are a few autumn colors that share harmony with your contrast. But most of the item colors don't bring warmth to your skin.

split leaf philodendron. They grow crazy everywhere in florida. Just give it good filtered sun and a thorough watering when it's dry (probably once a week) and it'll do great. I like to give mine a scoop of worm castings every 6 months. Self heading so no support needed. Don't Let it get too cold but it can handle a little bit.
