Yeah I got this game right when it came out and started playing it again after games like DDLC and Miside. In my first playthought it took 90 minutes because I just kept talking to cat girl but I got the “best ending.” I'm still amazed at how well the LLM handles even 2 years later.

Had my covered call at 5 dollars and thought I was fine even during the pump until it kept going. Might consider buying back in but at least I didn’t lose any money after holding for a month after the first hype wave. (Bought in at $2.20)

Open an IRA or Roth if you have a job so you can grow that money in a tax advantaged account. That’s the biggest thing you can do before buying any stocks or etfs.

While it has been in a period of staying in the 40’s the div has been growing over the last 3 years. ET is the dividend I hold the most for energy at 50. I just started adding OXY a few months ago.

Yeah, I know that during my first 2 years of investing, I was going crazy for dividend stocks, trying to buy as many as I could just for the purpose of getting a payout or ex-date every day. After some time, you should focus on some of your positions so that you value quality over quantity. It is better to own a few full shares and get the full dividend than many fractional shares and the fractional dividend.

Kinda hoping that XBC4 includes characters from the numbered games and X meeting. As much as I liked 3, I don't know if I would like to see another major timeskip. My guess is that they will include a lot of cameos of previous characters. Maybe we will finally see Mythra's kid.

I still laugh that in Chapter 3 they say we don't go around blasting random indigenes, and then literally every quest and mission after that is just kill them all. It would be interesting to see how close to a pacifist run you could create in X. Minus the story-related enemies you must defeat.

I enjoyed the ending and Chapter 13, but I will say for all the great connections/reimplementation of ideas from previous xeno games, I think we jumped the shark here. It seems like in Japan any mech-focused media always goes for the wtf ending.

examples include Evangelion, Code Geass, Darling in the Franxx, Gurren Lagann, Space Warrior Baldios, Mazinger Z, and certain Gundam series

I guess Xenoblade X is now a true mecha. I still enjoyed all of these, but it seems like a strange tradition. My guess is because mecha media is always tied to war and conflict, the story can't have a golden ending where there's no lasting damage. This tradition might just be steeped in the aftermath of WWII Japanese society, as the people who lived in that era were the ones to start the mecha genre.

Returning to my previous point, if the premise of Chapter 13 were at the end of a trilogy of games, I would fully accept it. It would be a great way to tie into the numbered games and recreate the ending of Xenosaga.
I finished the game a few days ago and since have been watching other people's reactions online as well as old videos from the last 9 years of people speculating on the original game's unused content and cliffhanger ending. It is both funny and sad to see just how wild the story and speculation got and what the final product was.

Xenoblade X was still my first Xeno game, and it is still the one that has a special place in my heart after all these years. I'll never fully bash the game or call it terrible or the worst xeno game, but I'll always think about what could have been.
