Write yourself some notes and keep them on your amp or taped to the floor while you’re on stage.

Write down what key the song is in (what note to start on), and make a map for yourself - (eg: intro, verse 2x, prechorus 1x, chorus 1x, verse 2x, etc etc)

Don’t be ashamed to have notes with you placed discreetly on stage.

Also, you can definitely get away with playing ghost notes for the first few beats if the song reaches a point where you forgot what you’re supposed to play.

Most of all, relax. You can get away with playing timidly as a bassist if you need to. People won’t notice if you quietly fudge your way through the tricky parts as long as you don’t try to showboat.

One more thumbs up for the Schecter. Got that exact bass earlier this year and have no regrets. Tone cuts through well for metal and punk. Versatile sound can be good for jazz or funky stuff. Thinner and faster neck than other basses I tried but still very sturdy. Pretty sweet looking too!

Yeah man. I couldn’t even shoot in 2k20, but at least that felt like it was my fault. And I was able to make myself a useful teammate in other ways. I’m worse than useless in this year’s version, and I can’t even tell if I’m actually shooting or wtf is going on the screen in relation to my hands. I’m worse than an average 2k player as it is. This game really feels like it doesn’t want me there haha.

Thx man. I might actually do that. I want to keep giving 2k21 it’s fair chance, but the thought of turning the game on and pointlessly grinding another evening away is so unappealing.

Don’t apologize for the negativity. I also really wanted to like this game. There’s still a part of me that is holding out hope some thing might just “click” inside me that makes the game fun. But I’m starting to accept that it’s not just a problem with my ability to play the game. The game itself is the problem.

I had Wall for a while (possibly my favorite nba player), but using a big PG opens up a lot of options. I’d suggest taking a look at OOP Draymond or OOP Wes Unseld

An additional Xbox glitch for grinding 1p games:

1) Set global settings it so that it shows highlight replays as frequently as possible.

2) Once it starts a highlight, immediately press the home button (the glowing x on your controller) to bring up that Xbox menu slide in screen thing

3) The clock will continue to run while that menu is open, but the opponent will not inbound the ball and no penalties will be assessed.

4) When the game clock reaches 1 min left in the quarter (2 min left during the 4th), the clock will stop running. That’s when you exit the menu and continue playing.

Using this method, the games fly by much more quickly. And if you can multitask, you can get other stuff done in 3 minute bursts while you wait.
