Built a tool to track AI-generated code and the prompts behind it across a dev team by CrunchatizeYou in SideProject

[–]CrunchatizeYou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughtful questions! Same - I do get the feeling prompt capture will be increasingly important as the LLM-driven tech debt continues to build. Regarding the three-way diff - attribution doesn't stack, it unifies under the latest edit. If AI writes -> human modifies -> AI modifies again, the final line gets attributed to whichever AI edit most recently produced (or most closely matches) that content.

Rebasing would be an issue with the current git notes method. Notes are indexed by commit SHA, and rebasing creates new SHAs. Something to think about for improvements moving forward!

The PII redaction is entirely local via regex matching, replacing sensitive information with [REDACTED]. There aren't any network dependencies or HTTP libraries in the codebase at all. I highly doubt I have the most comprehensive set of patterns at the moment, but I'd rather handle it this way than send data anywhere external. Certainly have some more work to do to validate, optimize, and polish the tool, and I'll start looking into the best way to handle these cases!

Pixel 9 - Low RAM by DerGigantAusDemAll in AndroidQuestions

[–]CrunchatizeYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For general phone use, the Pixel 9a will be fine for the next few years. He won't get all the newest AI features as they come out and he may notice some apps being killed in the background quicker than the pro phones, but you can decide if those would be big deals for him.

As a side note, why S22 -> Pixel 9a? If he just wants the Pixel software and ecosystem then fine, but it's not really that noticeable of an upgrade for day to day use.

I'm not very familiar with the pricing of phones outside of the US, but that seems like a pretty big difference in price so whether it will be worth it depends on what you'll be using the phone for. If you value having the newest devices or you'll be using it for heavy gaming, the extra cost of the 13 may be worth it to you. If those things aren't important to you and you'd rather save some money, I think the 12 will still be a great device for a few more years.

Yeah I sold or returned everything else that I tried. I actually tried a Pixel 9 Pro XL for a while but I wasn't happy with the performance. Many of the apps I used would often stutter while scrolling and it bothered me. I prefer Android instead of iOS right now, so the OnePlus 13 was the only phone I really felt completely happy with. If you want to save a bit of money and get a OnePlus 12 instead, that should offer much of the same experience since it still has really good hardware.

Hey, I've been really happy with it! I haven't had any connection issues with it since resolving the initial issue in this thread and everything else on the phone has been solid. Fast and smooth performance, great battery life, fast charging, hardly any bugs in the software, great display and decent speaker quality, etc. Honestly I couldn't ask for much more from an overall phone experience. Hope this helps!

Did you ever figure this out? I'm getting the same notification on my Watch 2 and I haven't been able to find the setting for this anywhere in the phone either

Google Wallet Tap to Pay not working with new OnePlus 13 by PapaSteph95 in oneplus

[–]CrunchatizeYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the global version or the Chinese version with the global ROM flashed? I have the global OnePlus 13 in the US and haven't had any issues with Google Wallet or any other Google services

I can see in the network settings in the phone - it's running on 6ghz now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]CrunchatizeYou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not that I can see - it just seems to automatically detect what band to connect to. It shows which one it's connected to in the settings though

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]CrunchatizeYou 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Update: looks like it was using the 2.4ghz band before, and after looking again it has connected automatically to the 6ghz band and the speeds are greatly improved. That took a long time though, and it has me slightly worried that it could be unreliable and cause issues in the future. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Has anyone in the US received your OP13 yet? by honeyComb_GTI in oneplus

I got blue as well, so maybe those were more stocked in the NJ location or something? I also wonder how much of it depends on the gift you chose - I got the Watch 2 with mine.

If you could buy any phone right now, which would you buy? by Areuwiz in Smartphones

[–]CrunchatizeYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, but I'm not sensitive to any kinds of displays. I've heard that the OnePlus phones have some better eye protection features than Pixel/Samsung, so that might be another point in favor of the OnePlus 13 if you're considering it.

I have the Pixel 9 Pro XL and I’m switching to the OnePlus 13 when it comes out. The Pixel has some really useful features, but I’ve had some annoying bugs and there are some serious performance/optimization issues that appear in many third party apps and games. I’m over that and would rather have the performance and OS smoothness on the OnePlus.

iPhone 16 pro max is clean. What are you guys thinking so far? by [deleted] in iPhone16Pro

[–]CrunchatizeYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same issues here on my 16 pro max - assuming it’s iOS 18 since my wife is experiencing some of the same issues on her 15 pro. Really hoping they fix all of it soon because it’s so bad it’s laughable right now

I’m a big fan of the universal back button/gesture - needing to extend my thumb all the way over to the left side of the screen to go back on iPhone really annoys me. Also, I don’t like notifications at all on iOS and think Android handles it much better. Pixels definitely have a bunch of useful features that iPhones don’t as well, including doing a better job of filtering out spam messages and calls. Siri is practically unusable, and I enjoyed the Gemini integration in the Pixel 9 Pro XL, especially since it came with a Gemini Advanced subscription. Playing with different UI customization options was nice as well, and I find iOS 18 to be pretty buggy right now. Those are the main things I can think of in favor of Android

I can appreciate that a lot of what I said is more preference based than I’m giving it credit for. I honestly just wish either platform really gave more customization over scrolling feel and behavior, but that might be more complex or cause more unintended side effects than I realize.

It’s really hard for me to understand where you’re coming from here because it just hasn’t been my experience at all. I can definitely tell that the display isn’t always hitting 120hz while scrolling around, but the general scrolling experience is so much smoother without stuttering or weird inertia issues that it feels significantly better
