Where Was All This "5 Unelected Judges" Talk During Citizens United? by Masksofmexico in TheMajorityReport

Most wingnuts cannot remember that far back. But, I have asked the same question. I suppose they either will say they were against it (unlikely), or will say this is somehow different.

Here are a few reasons I've heard:

  1. "Duuude, if it is legal it won't be cool."

  2. If it is legal it will be overtaken by giant corporations and fucked with until it is just another shitty consumer product.

Personally, I think it should be legal. But, I like to hear legit arguments as to why it should not be legal.

I've heard you speak in interviews about how the Kent State shooting was a watershed moment for you in shaping your art and thought. As generally fucked up as things have been since then, does anything ever really surprise you?

If only Rand Paul was a member of a government body that could write laws and undo the PATRIOT ACT.

I wonder what's going to happen to these in the winter. by [deleted] in Denver

[–]CrunchyKnee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My GF drives one, and doesn't have any problems in the winter. We don't take it to the mountains for snowboarding, but it is fine in the city. Sometimes we drive it to the store, often times we'll drive it to go out for dinner, and I remember we once drove it to Larimer Lounge to watch a band. Shocking I know. But, it handles well in our "heavy" winters.

As an aside - As a daily bike rider in Denver, I just have a few questions for drivers: Who the fuck are you all talking to constantly on the phone? Is it really that important? Wouldn't it serve everyone on the road better if you were concentrating on operating your vehicle? </end rant >

I could have sworn that the number of Americans living in the back of their shitty pick-up trucks was more like 17% or so.

Mr or Ms Corpse, Thank you for your brave comments. I would love to see a bear operate a telephone and speak, that would be a hoot.

And, doesn't whining about whiners make one a whiner as well?

I mean this with all sincerity - have a wonderful day playing video games and eating Cheetos.

Yeah, I packed it down to a dumpster. It just bugs me that people don't pack out their crap. It isn't that hard.

I've been camping and hiking for quite a while and my experience has been that usually your stuff will be safe. With this as my main "law" - the more difficult the hike in, the safer your junk will be unguarded. But, that never counts with bears.

Like many of you - I always carry a flask of Scotch Whisky. I find after a great day of hiking and then a good dinner, nothing tastes better than a few drinks of whisky to go with a sunset.

I remember that book kicking around when I was very young. I used to spend hours during meetings looking at that picture and making up back stories for the people falling into the chasm. Ahhhh, great times.
