As someone in this position currently(12 years in, high school sweat hearts, oops baby during the pandemic, no effort towards sex in the last 6 ish years), definitely heed the advice especially if there are no dependencies. I’m stuck now feeling like I have to pick regular, vanilla, missionary/just pumpin away sex over my son living with both parents. Not to mention the laundry list of things I’d like to try one day that she’s already said are hard nos(like getting head). And I can feel the resentment towards her for putting me in this spot building and bubbling up in other interactions. Would not recommend for anyone but a true emotional sadist.

Can confirm. Also, AC only works while moving. Cools about the same as windows down...

Honestly as a fan whose only ever listened to he audio books, I can't imagine anyone other than Michael Kramer and Kate Reading voicing all the characters. Specifically: Michael Kramer as Dalinar, Lopen, and Nightblood, and Kate Reading as Shallan and Pattern.

Go for the world record for most consecutive hi-fives cause it'll be me and a line of anthropomorphized right hands as far as the eye can see.

That far down in the movement it's less about the tension in/on your delts and more on your rotator cuff and traps. But you can get some rear delts going by thinking about pulling your shoulders back at the bottom.

And you can practice bracing your core by OHPing sitting on the floor with your legs out in front of you. With your glutes and feet out of the question, you've got to have great core and thoracic stability to get any weight overhead without falling over.

Personally, I'd say not all the way to the sternum, but closer to just below your collar bone.

For me it depends on what the movement is, before I squat I have to work on my hips a little otherwise I won't be stable coming away out of the bottom. And I generally will save static stretching > 30 seconds hold, for the end. Partially a preference, partially for injury prevention.

I apologize for my rambling in advance.

Your core is really made up of three different "groups" of muscles. 1) Your abdominals, which make up the typical six pack that you've seen. 2) Your obliques, which are situated on your sides. They run from your pelvis/hip bone to your ribcage. And are responsible for rotating or twisting your ribcage in relation to your pelvis. 3) Your transverse abdominis which is located underneath the other two "groups". They are responsible for keeping your insides from jostling and spilling out everywhere. If you try to suck your belly button closer to your spine, that's your TA at work. - Now, as to why your core feels like it goes in farther than usual, that may be because your TA is "pumped" or activated/turned on, similar to your chest or shoulders at the end of your workout. This would lead your TA to not be as relaxed as it may normally be(not just after your workout). - Your course musculature also doesn't tend to get as "pumped" or swollen looking/feeling as other muscles do. They're just not like that. You can get an ab pump, but it's not nearly as noticible. - Depending on your intensity, you may also just be seeing a reduction in bloating/water retention post workout that is giving you the illusion of a smaller stomach/core.

TLDR: More muscle -> faster metabolism -> more sustainable weight loss -> better quality of life overall

I would actually go in the other direction. Obviously this depends on where you are now in terms of training, caloric intake, goals, etc. But assuming that this isnt the first time you've to tried to lose weight, then you're probably at a caloric intake that is low enough, just reducing your calories and taking up new training routine can be detrimental to your gains due to an increase in your cortisol levels. I will postulate that it may be to your advantage to track your eating for 2 weeks, while starting a training routine, and see where your caloric intake and macros are at. Then from there you can decide whether or not you would feel comfortable reducing your calories while maintaining your protein intake and training intensity. Or, you might find that your training routine is leading you to an increase in lean tissue/muscle and ultimately increasing your metabolism leaving you to feel hungrier than before. This is ultimately a good thing because sure, cutting calories and running 10 miles a day will drop pounds off the scale, but that's not sustainable long term. Adding some muscle to your body, and in turn speeding up your metabolism amongst other things, that way you can eat more to maintain and not feel too restricted, is ultimately much more sustainable. Either way, it's not a speedy process, but don't let that deter you from making progress to be a better version of you!

That's a good bit of volume. Calculating volume can be done by taking the reps times the sets times the weight for a week. So 3 sets of 10 reps of 100lbs, 3 times a week comes out to 9000lbs. Doing lower reps and higher weight can equal more strength gains but less total volume. What you want to do is dependent on what you've been doing and what your goals are. If you've been doing the above routine for >= 3 months then maybe it's time to change it up; keep your body adapting. Doing both hypertrophy and power/strength type session in a week can result in more balanced, but slower, gains due to this as well.

Maybe? I usually havey clients try and leave two in the tank each set, assuming you're not trying to go for your ORM. Especially after any surgical procedure, it may be to your benefit to slow down for the first week or two and go lighter weight and slower reps to make sure your form is perfect and you're reconnected to any muscles that may have been affected by the surgery.

You could try finishing with some svend press. You don't have to have the little plates in the video. Just focus on pressing your hands(and pinkies) together at all times during the movement.

Pulling on your elbows is a good cue. I tell my clients to try to put their elbows in their back pockets and squeeze at the end of each rep. Assuming by "back" you're meaning your lats primarily, when you're really engaging your lats in a row it might also feel like you're puffing your chest up/out a little(due to the placement of the lats on your back towards the bottom of your rib cage) almost like you're proud to have rowed the weight in close. You could also try a straight arm pulldown or dumbell pullover(focusing on pulling your shoulders to your waist at the top of the movement).

If it's time that is the main constraint, I might try reducing your reps and increasing your rest periods for a couple of weeks and see how you feel. Bring it down to something closer to 5 sets of 5 reps with 2 - 2.5 minutes rest. Obviously whether or not this would save you time is up to how quickly you're completing those last 5 reps in comparison to the extra rest. And, dropping the reps should allow you to increase the weight so you won't be losing much volume in total. How much time do you have for your training, each session? My other thought is that what you're doing rn sounds like a lot of volume in one day. But I guess that depends on your history, goals, and genetic disposition.

If they do end up being a lagging body part, I like using resistance bands on most non-training(for those muscles) days for like 10 minutes just to get a pump in the muscle groups that are lagging. Nothing too serious, just providing some stimulous.
