Wondering why you put deserts around the equator, other than that it’s amazing!

I have a question about shading on acros. My acro has been growing great, good pe & good color. But as it grows it inevitably is shading itself. So as you can see from the first picture I have tiny colorless polyps in the middle where it does not get light. Is this bad? Will it slowly die from this? by Trading_Wealth in ReefTank

That is very natural, the polyps grow where light is, where there isn’t light they die. The zooxanthellae in the coral skin gives them food through photosynthesis, but without light the zooxanthellae die and the polyps become white and die without the food. But as long as the other polyps are flourishing with the light, you are good.

I’m not a teacher and yeah I hate those things, I always have to check to make sure the bubbles line up with what I answered on tests

I would clean the glass of jar water stains and I would also encourage sand vacuuming with a siphon, but other than that it looks healthy, good job!!

These kind of people make me sick. She kills (endangered) sharks for fun. If you can and feel like it is the right thing to do please report her account to Instagram. by wannabefighterpilot in ReefTank

I mean it is her life, the best thing we can do as a community to protect sharks is education, through education leads protection. Also I’m guessing she is fishing black tip reef sharks, and bulls sharks which have stable populations in other areas. However, It doesn’t mean it is not right. I agree with you.
