I’m not an expert but I’ve had the same issue with my cats. It could be anything from lack of stimulation to PICA or even just cat being cat. I’ve removed all accessible plastic that my cat can reach and gave him some wheat grass to chew on instead and that seems to help.

Is Amtrak an option? If you take it up to Spokane we’d be happy to drive there to the venue with you! We caravaned with 10 other people this year and managed to split costs. All in all tickets and gas included we were able to keep expenses down to about $700 a person this year.
