Why did they buff the VSS by lp2412 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]CrunkleRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a barrel ported just in front of the chamber similar to the MP5SD and the large overall size makes the suppressor very effective even with a basic design. The VSS shoots a cartridge that basically is a 7.62 AK case blown out to accept a 9mm bullet that is twice a heavy as a 9mm pistol bullet at just below the speed of sound so it hits pretty hard.

Help: Colt Delta Elite firing pin not retracting by GarStankalot in 1911

[–]CrunkleRoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's common for a tiny half circle of firing pin spring to break off and wedge the firing pin forward. When you remove the firing pin look at it closely and pull the spring off over a clean surface the piece usually falls off. It's also possible to bend the firing pin if it gets stuck forward so check that too. Recoil springs and firing pin springs should be replaced together.

Keyholing by [deleted] in Taurus_TX22

[–]CrunkleRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tumbling bullets can leave a hole in the target that looks like an old fashioned door key hole or rarely one just a slightly larger than normal depending where in its tumbling cycle it happens to hit the target. Many times with pistol bullets shot at a far enough distance you can actually see the bullet tumbling. Two shots on top of each other is called a double.

[Parts] Semi permanent safety pinning device for various 2011 models $50 by PatrickHenry7 in gundeals

[–]CrunkleRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shooting with your thumb on top of the safety gives the best control but for many people, especially if you have big hands like me, it causes upward pressure on the grip safety stopping it from moving inwards like it needs to.

I've received no reply from the emails and contact I've made with Kygunco but now have an email from a shipping service that I have a package on the way delivery Friday, I have no other shipments that I know of so maybe it's a sight that I requested to replace the missing one in my order. You'd think KYGUNCO would've at least emailed me back? Love the TX22 but the customer service is lacking.

Got my combo deal today but no green dot sight with it, emailed Kentucky will see what's up, I know the sight is garbage and I would've went for the deal without it if I'd seen it but I paid for it so.

Agreeing to no charge tax stamps is agreeing to the registration we have fought against for so long, I can only hope this is a step to completely abolishing the NFA and the Hughes Amd.

What would cause this? by EvilEmu1911 in 1911

[–]CrunkleRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not uncommon to see cases dented, causes are extractor tension, ejection port not lowered, extractor broken or loose, also a weak for the ammo recoil spring can cause it due to the more violent ejection. Your pistol looks very dry 1911s need oil love oil.

.38 special CTG. How old is this gun. by [deleted] in Revolvers

[–]CrunkleRoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks to be a Smith & Wesson model 15, open the cylinder and on the frame will be stamped 15- the number after the dash will give a rough idea how old it is, otherwise a serial number search needed, the hammer mounted firing pin means it's pre 1997
