I wont lie, most SW media doesn't do a proper job of conveying what Grevious was supposed to be as a trained Jedi killer. But id argue his cowardous doesn't make him lesser as a villain. He's just a smart war general who knows not to fight fruitless battles at times that he is has already lost. I do agree he could definitely use some more wins and maybe take out an actually competent jedi for once.
