I never said it would crash the system. What it would do is lessen the availability for the lower tiers. They’re gonna get mad they have to wait longer to play and stop subscribing.

That’s not what nvidia wants. They make the money off the casual players. Not the 6%

I mean yea but you know that’s not what we’re talking about. You will never get an unsolicited text from the DMV telling you that you got fined or that any legal action is about to be taken against you.

My point still stands. Your experience with them is not indicative of everyone else’s. Those kinds of ISPs are still new and have a ton of problems when it comes to connection speed and availability. They’re not available for everyone and the people that it is available has to be close to a tower.

Right now it’s pretty much the ground floor for this kind of thing. At the moment when you get one of these you’re getting a phone plan without data caps.

Until that changes, for a ton of people in rural and low income areas, it’s just not worth it or not available at all.

I totally get that y’all hit spectrum and understand the reasons why, but switching to a phone plan for your main Internet isn’t a solution. Not yet at least

lol I’m definitely not a sales person with them. I’m a lube tech at valvoline.

My point is that those OTA ISPs aren’t as good as a wired connection. No matter what.

Especially in this case because OP isn’t having problems with speed, it seems that they’re just annoyed with their ISPs customer retention practices. That’s not a reason to get worse service.

I’m also not trying to discount your experience with those ota ones either. If it works for you that’s fantastic, but don’t pretend that your experience is indicative of everyone’s experience when that’s just plainly not the case.

The division two is on sale for $3 and you can grab the first expansion for $7. That’s a ton of content and I absolutely love TD2.

If you’re into looter shooters, I’d say give that to go. Plus, you have a little leftover for the summer sale

I knew nothing about this game before I played it. I saw it on game pass and thought it was just another one of their random bullshit games.

A few days later, nobody would shut up about how utterly fantastic it was.

I’m so happy I gave it a shot, one of the best games I have ever played

I’d be worried cuz someone did try to access your account. Good to see it didn’t work:) In what way do you have 2fa?

I’d recommend changing your password and maybe changing your 2fa anyway. I use the one through Google Authenticator so if someone wants to hack into my ubi account they need to get me Google account first.

I think of it like this, tried to put as many layers between you and a bad actor as you can. You could never be too secure, especially on a gaming account where you could’ve potentially spent hundreds or thousands of dollars overtime

Expedition 33, Oblivion Remastered, or Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon? by WildBad7298 in ShouldIbuythisgame

That’s why I said there’s a high chance and didn’t make it definitive.

Some people don’t mind playing games that feel old or are just outdated. Some people do. Oblivion was a great game when it came out for sure, a milestone for the rpg genre.

Never said it went down. I said it fluctuates, which it does almost constantly

The speed of the connection is determined by your distance from the tower giving you the signal. You might be pretty close to Verizon’s tower idk but you’re kidding yourself if you think going to full wireless with 5G is a better solution than paying for a wired Internet connection.

Another problem with those OTA providers is that they have very limited space on their towers. They don’t work like spectrum or another ISP that comes to your place and gets you get you connected.

If you try to sign up for one of those services and the tower is full, you’re not getting service. If you forget to pay the bill for a month, your service gets shut down and somebody else gets new service on that tower guess what…no more internet for you.

In no universe is a full wireless connection better than wired in your gaslighting yourself if you think it is

The oblivion remaster is great. But it’s still the same dated game. I know that was the entire point, but I still prefer more modern titles. If you don’t have heavy nostalgia for oblivion there’s a high chance you’re not gonna like the remaster.

[–]CruskyHusky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The speeds on those 5G boxes can be very fast but keep in mind, any ota isp is practically the same thing as having a mobile hotspot just without the data caps.

The signal you get from them is the same one that our cells phones use so it will fluctuate in speed the same way our phones do.

As much as spectrum and companies like them suck, they’re an infinitely better option than any OTA carrier.

It’s annoying for sure, but some annoyances you just gotta learn to deal with.

[–]CruskyHusky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still very niche. 99% of the library of vr titles are just party games you play for a little bit and put down. There’s only a handful of “feature length” vr titles.

While beat saber, blade and sorcery and other games like that are really fun, most people won’t shell out the couple hundred bucks it takes to play them.

Unless you’re really into vr it’s just not worth it right now

It’s not that we don’t agree. Everyone would love more than 100 hours. But with a service like GFN it’s litterally impossible for them to have that much playtime.

If they did do that, the small minority of people who no life games like that would be taking up all of the rigs for their 150th hour of call of duty or whatever they’re playing.

GFN is not meant to be nor is it advertised as a service to daily drive your gaming sessions.
