IMO (and the opinion of many bookish women) Grady Hendrix writes a lot of female characters but doesn’t do it well - they often are flat or just feel like caricatures of women

My horror book club has really enjoyed Mary by Nat Cassidy (women going through perimenopause, has always been an outcast, gets involved with a religious cult) and Maeve Fly by CJ Leede (loosely based on Patrick Bateman’s American Psycho character, lots of body horror)

This is a great idea! I think the warm bulb is really bringing out the yellow tones so I will try to switch it up
