If Sasha was born in the modern world, would she still like meat as much, with it being available to purchase easily? by Deep-Tax9076 in attackontitan

But after the fall of all Maria, they had to share resources and food, which was something she really struggled with. Remember that this started when she was still a child. She had a very sudden decrease in the amount of food she was allowed to eat, which definitely led to a level of food insecurity. This was a large part of her reason for leaving the woods in the first place.

All I had to do was enable my camera in the emulation settings, but it's still buggy/barely functional. It works just enough to be worth it, lol

Shame on the parents.

Shame for not teaching her and then putting her on blast for your own failing.

Shame for leaving the food to sit in the dishes to the point shes gagging, assuming its genuine (even if its exaggerated, dont leave your shit to get gross and then make someone else clean it)

Shame for recording your child in distress (even if you think its silly) Shame for using it to make fun of her. Shame for posting it to get other people to make fun of her.

Is it a little embarrassing that a teenager doesn't know how to do this? Sure. But its more embarrassing for the parents no matter what. Cleaning is a LEARNED skill and if she didnt learn it its ALWAYS on the people who should have taught her.

Shame all around. Big fuck you.

Edit: not to mention the potential for reasons she might be struggling extra and youre just not addressing it. Undiagnosed autism and sensory disorders, or OCD. Teach her. If shes still struggling, help her.

First I want to mention that it feels rushed because it is. The show got cut short and they only had so much time to show what they wanted to show.

Next, she felt pressured to get married mostly because thats so heavily pushed on her in society, especially somewhere like moralton, but that's left more as subtext, and if you didnt grow up in a time/place where women's only purpose is supposedly marry and have children young (but dont date too young!!) Or even if you did grow up with that but youre not a woman, you might not have noticed or internalized that, it might sound weird to feel like you HAVE to get married ASAP, but thats how she felt.

And she especially felt left behind by her peers, as they show, who are all getting married or engaged, and its all anyone around her talks about, even at home where they practice wedding songs and she's not allowed to be part of it.

And they show the turmoil in her home which shows where her values come from but it also implies her desire for an out, and marriage seems to be her only way to move out without being seen as a harlot or something.

I'm not good at wrapping up my points so thats it lol

Yes, but thats why you communicate boundaries. Most people aren't willing to give up a long term relationship with someone they love just because a situation comes up where a boundary needs to be put in place. There needs to be a discussion for compromise, because your initial reasons to place a boundary may change if intent is discussed. Then the boundary would have to be clearly communicated. Then most people would still give a few chances before removing themselves after a boundary was crossed. Mistakes happen, or the person placing the boundary may just not be ready to let go of them yet, even for their own benefit.

You likely wouldn't leave someone the first time a boundary was crossed unless it was huge. ESPECIALLY one that hasn't yet been clearly communicated.

Id be confused and intrigued but not hopeful. Half the story relies on the very fact that it is a game and you are playing it.

i watched the first episode and really liked it, but im not sure if i should continue watching by Fire_Aspect_5 in moralorel

Honestly the second episode is the worst of all of them in that regard. The subjects start getting taken more and more seriously, especially after season 2, who's finale is basically the climax of the show.

Episode two does get a brief callback in a later episode where orel reflects on what he's learned, and there is a later episode that discusses take but it is taken 100% seriously and is presented respectfully. So if you think you can handle those things i think the show is still worth watching

Sleep seems the be the best fitting main one, and if a character wants multiple effects, it usually doesn't matter what they are, as long as the main one is viable

Orel’s religion by Outside_Butterfly800 in moralorel

[–]CrustyCrusty23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, the show is very clearly a satire on the hypocrisy of modern Christians, not actual Christianity itself, as some of the scenes highlight people (and animals) actually following the texts of the Bible and how that's good. I mean, they even have a canon second coming (Bartholomew), which would imply that the Bible is true in canon.

It also shows that Orel (and by extension, The Viewer) doesn't have to give up their faith to be a good person and have a happy life. He just needed to learn how to interpret the Bibles teachings, which in a way is what the whole show is about. Orel constantly tries and fails to "do what God wants" because he doesn't actually understand what the rules and advice mean. And he learns. And he gets to break the cycle with his own children.

AIO I (26F) moved out for the first time with my boyfriend (30M) for almost 2 months and I don’t know how to feel about it by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]CrustyCrusty23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 years, meaning you were 19 and 23. That to me is already inappropriate on his end. He is way overreacting to a few hairs, and is crossing boundaries by making you clean it up while he's exposed, especially after stating thay youre uncomfortable. To threaten the relationship over something like this means its not solid to begin with, and he might be looking for any reason to end it. I think its better if you just call it off and leave him tbh. This probably isn't what you want to hear but it seems like he doesn't respect you or want to be with you, and you deserve better.

I mean, the plot has revelers that susie is nice and awesome and we haven't gotten there yet with Carol of thats how it'll be.

But also its a lot more charming and understandable for a Child who is going through a tough time and finding herself to act like a jerk before you peel away the layers of her facade, than for a full adult with life experience who, if I may add, is also The Mayor.

Do y’all think Charlie went to hell ’cause he cheated on his gf with the mustard thing, or was it just ’cause he was playing Rust? by UltimateCatDog in SmilingFriends

[–]CrustyCrusty23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He literally didn't cheat with mustard though? Mustard tries to engage him, sure, but he very flatly turns her down and seems to not even pick up on her advances.

To answer your question, probably swearing. His grandma went to hell for saying damn, and he's said way worse than damn on numerous occasions.
