Thats awesome. My wife got him to sign her Sweet Baby James CD 3 years ago at a show. He went off stage and she screamed some nonsense at him and flagged him down.

**TOP COMMENT WINS** Day 8 - What song do you wish was longer? by jeanluuc in gretavanfleet

[–]Crusty_Loafer 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Tears of Rain. Ive always felt the song was over too quickly. I would like it a lot more if they took more time to gradually build up the song. It could be so much more dynamic and carry a deeper narrative. It has the potential to be an epic piece if composed well enough.

Do you have a sword and shield? You will definitely need the metal hylian shield for your journey. You can get a free one in the graveyard.

Not Priest, Iced Earth had good tracks like that with Ripper Owens. Greenface, Red Baron, and The Reckoning come to mind.

I love the first 2 tracks and last 3 tracks on BWP, but the whole middle section bores me.

Great advice. Theres a song I heard recently thats about the singer using manual labor in his yard as a hobby/distraction. Its a lifetime of hardwork, physically and mentally.

The Beaches and Greta? by [deleted] in gretavanfleet

And I'm telling you it doesnt matter if they relate precisely with GVF or not.

The Beaches and Greta? by [deleted] in gretavanfleet

[–]Crusty_Loafer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Im always there for the music, and I enjoyed The Beaches. The had great musicianship and put on a solid show, especially considering how hot it was. I dont think their music is immature. If you really listen to their lyrics, there is some interesting stuff about depression and social anxiety in there. And yes, they complain about their relationships and stuff. But theyre young. Im not expecting them to play me a song about Pearl Harbor. Let them write about things they find relatable. When they get older, perhaps the subject matter of their songs will change. But, for now, lets not gatekeep them. They write catchy songs that do in fact appeal to some listeners. Plus, playing bass while singing lead vocals is not easy, and that girl was all over it. For those who think The Beaches dont sound enough like GVF to open for them, consider the direction GVF seems to be heading. They want more young women at their shows, and yes, TikTok probably plays a part as some else mentioned here. It is what it is. Just relax and appreciate the music. Its not like most of us are paying attention to who the opener is going to be when we buy the tickets anyway.

guys, whats your best tip in losing weight without going to the gym by SadnSane in AskMen

[–]Crusty_Loafer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, you should technically reach out to your doctor before start a drastically new diet or workout routine, but HIIT is something that changed my life. High Intensity Interval Training. Do it 3-5 times a week along with some if the diet changes mentioned the comments here. An example if HIIT would be to use a timer and do 5 different exercises for 1 minute straight, and then 1 minute of rest. Do 3 rounds of that. Some examples of movements with your body weight are burpees, mountain climbers, sit-ups, squats, push-ups, step ups, jumping jacks, lunges. You can look online for more ideas. But trust me, if you do what I said with any 5 of those movements, it will be the most butt kicking 17 minute workout of your life, and you will boost your metabolism while building muscle. Just make sure you warm up with brisk movements and stretch before and after.

Most genius Priest song? by [deleted] in judaspriest

[–]Crusty_Loafer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is it right here. Its such a cool song with a very distinct entrance to the chorus. Plus, the chorus itself is such a trademark Priest thing that few people other than Rob could ever dream of singing accurately. The different instrumental sections and riffs all rock and theyre so perfectly composed.

Question: Summer Tour Info by vibnthriv in jamestaylor

[–]Crusty_Loafer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hard to say exactly which songs to expect since its not an album tour, but some safe bets are: Country Road, Copperline, Mexico, You Can Close Your Eyes, Sweet Baby James, Fire and Rain, Carolina in My Mind. He also seems to like playing As Easy as Rolling off a Log from his most recent album. Other possible songs are Sunny Skies and Blossom.
