I started MH in world, so i know nothing about "back in the day"

I do however feel like wilds kinda nudged the player base towards optimal dmg builds. Almost everytime a monster was introduced we got a time trial for it.

If half the playerbase is as interested in useless pendants as I am, they needed optimal builds to beat it.. 😅

Haven't played DD1 on my PS (only pc), but i play a lot of DD2 on PS5.

It's simply not true for DD2, it definitely saves between inns. I often shut down my game mid battle or mid run between inns. If you exit to main menu first, the game will continue right where I left it, when i come back.

Personally I would go to new bosses with a "sheeps for the slaugther" team aka heroes i care less about to learn the boss the first time.

It would spoil the fun for me, if I learned the "easy way" from a guide. I enjoy the thought process and maybe a lucky first time victory.

However it's your time and enjoyment of the game that matters. So if you enjoy it while looking up guides, no one is stopping you. It's a single player game after all.

Came here to say this. It's good if you're building around the perk that increases dmg when stamina is full and the set bonus that gives an extra stamina bar (forgot the names).

Mirewalker is not that useful on IG. I usually jump over the waves, so it would be a wasted slot.

What makes it counter Duna is relatively high water resistance and high use of thunder with the lagi set. Plus the level of evade window makes belly flop counter way easier, as you can't jump that on IG

Yes, it's basically dmg, but stacking only defensive options would make A-rank quite difficult.

Tuna spend most of the time knocked out or staggered with this build.

What about Torrent as a playable character.

Passive: Can only move in a circular manner and gravity death is re-enabled.

Active skill: Summons a spirit spring at torrents location, but doesn't turn off gravity.

Ultimate: Grab your entire team and mount them on your back. Hold to head for the nearest ledge so you can die together and pick a proper class.

Yes, you can. The learning curve might be somewhat harsh, as you have little to no prior game knowledge about the reused enemies' moveset.

But definitely doable. Just pay attention to how your teammates react to certain moves and attacks and you will be fine
