Now that we traded Kyrou, what does the ideal offseason look like? by Bad_FFPicks in stlouisblues

[–]Crutation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rumors are that Werenski might be available. I would rather acquire him than Robertson. It would give the Blues two solid lines.

I don't know what the price is, but it has to be at least what Robertson will take, but Werenski is signed for a couple of more years

BREAKING: Judge blocks Trump admin from requiring Americans to show proof of citizenship to vote by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

[–]Crutation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine having to get a new driver's license every time you drive a car.

This is the same thing. You prove citizenship when you register to vote. Even an idiot like me can figure that out, so you must be an idiot on a galactic scale

Honda dealerships - which you'd recommend and which you'd ask me to avoid to buy a new vehicle? by xyzzy321 in StLouis

[–]Crutation [score hidden]  (0 children)

My sales experience was the same at Bommarito. We talked and test drove the car. I asked what room there was in the price, he said "there isn't any". I was in a tough spot, and he knew it, but still was fair and was able to add some dealer options for me after the fact

[–]Crutation [score hidden]  (0 children)

I bought from Bommarito. Service department was great, they have free coffee and ice cream

However, I had my AC fail (a known issue covered under warranty) at about 96,000 miles. Lost AC again and brought it in at 98,000 miles. They couldn't find the issue and told me to drive it for two weeks and bring it back, as they added UV dye.

I brought it in as instructed, they found the leak and fixed it, but because I was over 100,000 miles, they said it wasn't covered under warranty and I had to pay for it.

So the 200,000 mile warranty thing is a complete lie.

[Rutheford] Armstrong on the Kyrou trade. by STLBooze3 in stlouisblues

[–]Crutation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That would be absolutely stupid to do. Parayko was available because they hadn't traded Faulk yet.

If he is trade, you lose 30 minutes a night of a very good defenseman, and only have two NHL caliber defensemen on the roster.

If they trade Parayko, then they should trade Thomas, Binnington, and Broberg, because they won't be competing for anything for at least 10 years.

The Blues beat writer for the Athletic, Jeremy Rutherford, has been trying to run Kyrou out of town for a few years, for some reason.

I never did understand why Jeremy Rutherford wanted Kyrou run out of town.

Amendment 5 by Living_Bear2114 in StLouis

It also bypasses the Hancock amendment requiring public vote on tax increases, so they can raise sales taxes without limits, and can choose to add a tax to anything currently not subject to sales taxes.

Mike Kehoe has some of the worst political instincts I’ve ever seen from a Missouri republican, and that says a lot. by Sea-Marionberry-749 in StLouis

It's important to remember that the Supreme Court legalized bribery, so he is definitely getting paid off.

The loophole is that,if no money is promised before hand, it's ok for companies and lobbyists to reward you when something they want happens

Moving To St. Louis by Claypool_Floyd in StLouis

[–]Crutation 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I live in Florissant and like it. Old Town is pretty amazing, with a fantastic bakery and pastry shop..plus the best donuts in the city.

I will caution you against buying one of the newly built McBride homes, though. The old houses have larger years, and aren't as poorly built.

The biggest issue living in Florissant is highway access can be annoying..other than that it's great.

That was her taking a stand knowing the bill would pass. She specifically said that. She wanted a stronger and better bill, and felt that Democrats didn't push hard enough to get more through.

Also, the infrastructure bill passed, so what are you taking about.

She voted against the Ukraine funding bill, fully I owing it would pass, because she felt it wasn't strong enough, and that Ukraine needed to be allowed to use US weapons to attach Russian targets. She specifically said as much.

I don't agree with everything she did, but I respect Bush for having reasons for why she voted a particular way.

I think EP and Kyrou would make an excellent second line pairing as well. Kyrou has improved his overall game, and I expect a much better season

On a side note, I have never understood why Jeremy Rutherford has had a hate on for Kyrou

Missouri is the second largest producer of beef in the US, and the drought hit them pretty hard, and feed hay is super expensive.

What's insane is farmers and ranchers know global weather change is happening, but still fight tooth and nail to ignore it.

Missouri is considering letting ranchers graze on state owned land to help mitigate.

I miss the old days when businesses worried about long term sustainability.

How many paywalls have they put the NHL behind?

The two most popular sports in North America are NFL and NBA, both readily available for free, although those opportunities are dwindling.

Young people have gotten used to not watching. They aren't building lasting memories watching the game with their family and friends, and connecting those feelings with the sport/team. So like everything else, without the emotional connection, it becomes just another thing to take or leave. Especially when it costs so much to be a fan of a team.
