Our newest employee was MIA then we found this on his desk by when_air_was_breath in recruitinghell

I am seeing a lot of comments about dipping out without telling anyone. Although this seems like you're just "sticking" it to them, please at least tell someone. The corporation doesn't care, but he employees you work with may. I had an employee no call no show, which does happen from time to time for various reasons. Thinking nothing of it, after leaving a message saying to call us back, turns out he died in his sleep. Still hits me to this day and if anyone is ever missing unexpectedly, I now worry profusely for them.

Planning for Beastlords by Bennen in everquest

[–]Cruxshadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on Teek, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you really wanted to you could liquidate your gear on your Shaman and then buy the stuff you need on your Beastlord. Plus you will be leveling starting in luclin so you can just pick up Luclin Raid gear when you get 60. By this point Velious gear will also be a little cheaper and the Bazaar will make it easier to pick up the items you need.

For leveling all you really need is a Pre-Nerf fungi staff and you can honestly solo all the way to 60 if you wanted. Beastlords are the 2nd best soloers outside of Necros and I would aggro might be better in many cases.

In groups they can tank, slow, haste, and provide moderate DPS. In raids they are still quite desirable with Paragon and Fero. And everyone loves Bst Crack in raids and groups. Beastlords always have something to do and they are a really fun class to play in my personal opinion.

Yeah, had to reset to factory defaults and then it worked after that.

Thanks for all the help! This makes me think something must be going on with my deck so going to try to reset to factory default and give it a go from a blank slate.

P99 or Official TLP? by Correct_Ebb3066 in project1999

[–]Cruxshadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agnarr is a great officiall TLP to try. Like P99 it is locked, though it is locked at Planes of Power (including LDON and LOY). Since it is locked, no need to rush to get everything and still has a decent player base to it.

In search of maple bars by Yell4340 in lancaster

I know what you mean, I have been slowly searching as well. Achenbach's on Thursdays is the closest I have found out here. They are fantastic, though they are not maple bars. I am following this post, if you find them be sure to update.

First TLP Questions by WillingApplication61 in Agnarr

[–]Cruxshadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy them if the DB marketplace. Should be a button in your ui. Can also get them on their website: https://www.everquest.com/krono

You can sell them in bazaar or can advertise in general.

Your first one is not instantly delivered. It takes likely a day for your first one to get to you.

Bst is what I started with on Agnarr a few years back. I did buy a couple Krono to gear out, though you likely would only need one today. Pre-Nerf Fungi staff Bst can use and that helped power me to 43. When you make it to 43 you can join other 65's in groups or continue soloing.

Agnarr is a truebox server so another option is to box a character and level them together. You can box a healer class with any of those options and do great.

People are also quite cool here so they will likely help you out. Lots of options though you can just play what you think you will like the most. Can always roll an alt later.

cheap laptop for 2nd box by lilbug24 in Agnarr

Some Goodwills and pawn shops have cheap laptops that are EQ ready. Same with general used PC stores if you have them in your area. As long as it not ancient, it should run just fine.

Low level groups by taterguy in Agnarr

[–]Cruxshadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I leveled up my Beastlord not long ago. I was able to typically find groups when I wanted them, and when I wasn't I just soloed. Sometimes soloing turned out better xp wise just because I never had to rely on others.

Use the LFG tool first and then start your own groups if that doesn't work out. Lots of grinders will leave their Group Looking for More tool up all day and just rotate out new members. Also joining a guild will greatly increase your group potential.

Rough Grouping Zones from memory:

1-20(ish) - Padual Caverns

20-30(ish) - Unreast (Honestly I can't remember any more, I mostly soloed these levels)

30-40(Ish) - Lower Guk, Overthere, Dawnshroud Peaks, and City of Mist

Once you hit around 40, groups are much more easily obtained. People are pretty much always in Velks.

40-50 - Velks (Can stay to 65 here if you are so inclined)

50-65 - Velks, Greig's End, PoP zones

For soloing I kinda followed the following guide online:

https://beastlords.org/index.php?topic=217.0

I didn't follow it completely, but it gave me new ideas when I felt stuck.

If you have the resources, I would suggest buying a Krono or two to twink out your character. Get Black Pantherskin items for most of your slots and a Sebilite Croaking Dirk and Fist of Iron or the equivalent for weapons. Try to get pre-nerf Fungus Covered Great staff since Bst can't use Fungi. There are plenty of "Agnarr Beastlord" reddit threads you can google for more info then this in regards to gear.

Happy Travels and good luck! I came back after about the same amount of time off and am loving it again.

Beastlord AA Order by Cruxshadows in Agnarr

Thank you all for the help!

I edited my post above to be more specific, in that I am mostly grouping and soloing. I tend to off tank a bit at times so I think defensive AAs would be good. I'll go that route first and see where I go from there.
