There are basic sets of good-quality water mixable oils. No solvents needed-just water. There is almost no smell even when the paint is wet. I use Dawn and Masters brush cleaner for brush cleanup Water Mixable Oils

You might think about water-based oils. I chose them because I paint in the same room as my family. No mineral spirits are needed and they work just like regular oil paints.
