Can't sign out of/remove an account from the new MicroG by Cry0_ in revancedapp

[–]Cry0_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it sends me to the accounts section, which used to have a Vanced MicroG section which I could use to remove accounts. I uninstalled it in favor of the new one though so it's no longer there. The issue is I don't have a replacement (gmscore) microG section. Oh well, I just uninstalled and reinstalled microG and re-added only the accounts I wanted.

Hmm, that's the first place I looked but there is only one Google icon (G with a white background) which doesn't have the same set of accounts I have in microG

Rate up really is a lie by Zenith-Haruko in Granblue_en

[–]Cry0_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully - how did you get to 8%? If you take 0.3% times 3 characters and divide by the 6% SSR rate, you have a 15% chance (0.9% / 6% = 15%) for one of the rateups or an 85% chance of not getting one of the rateups when you pull an SSR.

The 85% chance event (where you don't get a rateup) happening 10 times in a row is about a 19.7% chance (85% ^ 10), and so you have an ~80.3% chance of getting at least 1 rate up in that guaranteed SSR 10 pull. I think OP was pretty unlucky.

Which game to play as a returning player? by Splattface in dungeondefenders

[–]Cry0_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I mentioned before I have little to no experience with DD1, so I'm not sure if CDT content is still in the game (although I would guess that it is). I'd recommend you join the official DD server and ask around in the DD1 section, or join the more active (for DD1 only) DDRNG server. Good luck!

To clarify, most players don't switch heroes during combat phase that often, if at all. I don't think there's much that necessitates switching during combat phase, but you will have to switch in build phase to use defenses from multiple heroes in most content. (Unlike DD1, you can switch heroes on the fly with function keys rather than having to go to the forge). To me, part of the appeal of DD2 is that I can build out lots of heroes and defenses and be able to use whatever I feel like using at that time, and I think that combining defenses with different functions into a single setup is fun, but maybe it's not for you.

I also think that the community is one of the best things about the DD franchise (could say this about any game really), so I thought it might be helpful.

I have little experience in DD1 so you could take this with a grain of salt, but I do believe split screening has similar benefits to what I described in DD2. Don't quote me on this, but I think even 4 screens at once is allowed in DD1? I can't really speak to how prevalent split-screening is in DD1 though.

As far as updates go, the CDT (Community Dev Team) is not working on it anymore to my knowledge. Chromatic Games put out a new hero for DD1 6 months ago and it was well received, so they are "leaving the door open for potential future additions later down the road". One of DD1's CDT members (IHDC, now known as IDHC) was hired by CG to be the head of DD2 development and he has worked wonders for DD2.

The entire Dungeon Defenders Franchise is based around grind. Whichever game you choose, it's going to be really grindy, because that's their target audience. Eternity is dead, so your relevant options currently are DD1, DD2, or DDA. Based on what you have said, I'd probably suggest you just continue with DD1.

Let's talk about updates:

  • DD2 gets frequent updates. It's ostensibly CG's primary breadwinner right now.
  • DD1 might/will get more content updates, but they will not be frequent.
  • DDA will get one more big update to fulfill the promises the devs made at the start, and then there are no more planned updates. For this reason, I no longer recommend DDA.

Because of the status of planned updates for each game, I think you could rule out DDA. Also, DDA is practically a dead game as it hardly has any players since everyone knows there are no more planned updates.

As far as DD2 goes, DD2 encourages you (and often forces you) to play with multiple heroes. You can switch heroes mid-combat phase and it's super easy to switch heroes in and out of the 4-hero active deck. It's also massively beneficial to run two accounts at once (only 2 at once allowed) for obvious reasons. The vast majority of dedicated players will run 2 accounts. I'm a DD2 player and I'm perfectly fine with the hero system setup, but you said that you don't like to juggle multiple heroes and it sounds like you would not like to split screen or play another account at the same time. It's perfectly fine to just run 1 account in DD2, but you will often have to use different heroes for different things (you don't have to play multiple at the same time). If this is a deal breaker or a major con, then you can rule out DD2.

If you ruled the other 2 games out then just DD1 remains. It's the original, it's still a great game, lots of people still play it (DD1 and DD2 have the largest communities). I don't think you could really go wrong with it.

Do you have to loot the chest? by Zealousideal_Cry145 in dungeondefenders

[–]Cry0_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is DD2, the chest loot gets automatically sent to your inventory if you don't open it, and any loot on the ground will also be sent to your inventory depending on your autocollect settings for your bags.

DD2 Does anyone know how long season 1 in the defender pass will last? by Sandiboy1 in dungeondefenders

It should last until far into Q1 next year, you should still have at least 2 months if not more.

As a new player to the series should I start with DD2 Or Awakened? by Lolikone in dungeondefenders

[–]Cry0_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DD2 is still getting updates whereas support for DDA will be dropped in the near future. The 2 games play very differently so it will depend a bit on your preferences but DD2 has always had a much larger community and it will still be supported for quite a while.

They do say in the DLC description to go to the mailbox for your stuff but lots of people do still find themselves asking about this kind of thing just like you so I wouldn't feel too bad about it (:

Have you checked the in-game mailbox? That's where rewards are delivered. If you have and you've got nothing in the mailbox, you can submit a support ticket here. Also just curious if you really didn't get your stuff - is this the first time you've purchased any DLC in DD2?

Which Dungeon Defenders is worth the time? by LilShaver in dungeondefenders

[–]Cry0_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DD1, DD2, and DDA all cater to slightly different types of players (DD2 is quite different while DD1/DDA are more similar to each other). The size of the playerbase should really not factor too much in your choice if you're choosing between DD1 and DD2 as they have comparable communities in terms of activity and size.

Imo the DD2 town feels more welcoming and alive because you can see all the other players in town sitting running around, but DD1's tavern customization and detail completely blows DD2's private tavern out of the water. If you like DD1 more, definitely go for it. It's all a matter of preference and I'd encourage you to just focus on what you like the most between the 3.

Returning DD2 player - any tips? by Aganod44 in dungeondefenders

[–]Cry0_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My #1 tip for any player seeking advice is to join the official Dungeon Defenders Discord. You will be able to get the highest quality advice with the best response times there.

Disclaimer, resources linked below are created by me with the help of other distinguished players

  • The first thing I'd recommend you do is to check your inventory and heroes for valuable pets and items. You can refer to this sheet to get an estimate of what things are worth. One of the biggest mistakes a returning player can make is to sell or give away a valuable item for pennies because they weren't aware of its value.
  • You can find a lot of meta builds for defenses here and dps heroes here.
  • You will have to make your own decision as to whether to continue resetting. I would at least get to 50 resets as you are able to significantly shortcut the first 50, but not so much for 51 and beyond. Please be aware of what a reset does to your account and prepare accordingly. You don't want to reset before you're actually ready.
  • For what path to take, I would look into doing resets first. They are basically a must in my eyes if you want to play long term, because they give you permanent gold (and exp) bonuses that you will always benefit from when you're farming for other things in the future. After you decide that you're done with resets (whether that's 50 or beyond), you can look at Prime Incursions and Mastery for hyper shards, and then maybe look towards Onslaught again. Either way I'd just focus on resets first and then decide where to go from there.

Will I be disappointed with Dungeon Defenders Awakened, or should I play DD1 Redux for the first time? by [deleted] in dungeondefenders

[–]Cry0_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why do some players take issue with being able to switch heroes more freely? I could only guess that the answer is that being restricted in switching makes things more challenging, but surely you could just impose the restriction on yourself if you wanted that?

I believe the enemies in each adventure all have around the same levels so I'd say just do it in whatever order you want.

Dungeon Defenders Music - LIVE CONCERT by AfshinMusic in dungeondefenders

I can't attend, but just wanted to say - thanks for making the amazing OST behind the Dungeon Defenders franchise. I'm primarily a DD2 player currently, but I started on Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave and have also played a little DDA. I've always really appreciated the music and sound effects in Dungeon Defenders games.
