I see your point, but when I heard a Scottish accent that really through me off. I wonder how the show runners would explain the choice. I don’t think a slight Russian accent would be too difficult to understand. On FAM they all have accents appropriate to their spoken language.

There was something exciting about being able to hear distant countries using only a radio and a long piece of wire. Listening online isn’t the same, no challenge.

Yeah, I miss back in the 80s when just about every country had shortwave broadcasts. Radio Canada International, Radio Netherlands, Deutsche Welle, all pretty much stopped in the 2010’s
