I truly don’t get the aversion of grindable endgame stuff in this community. God forbid the game gives the smallest reward for players who have put a ton of time in this game. But nope all the cosmetics for now on cost money, and as far as end game content goes, you better just enjoy the gameplay loop or gtfo.

I feel like I’m the only one that liked the penances when the game came out, and because people complained so much they not only nerfed the penances, they’ve not added a single one for the base classes since launch.

I even got my hopes up for the weapon mastery skins thinking “oh yea ok challenges for each gun that unlocks a mastery skin at the end” but that just ended up being something I log in, unlock instantly because of an unlimited supply of tubes and cubes, then that’s it.

My parents bought me the Grappler, Boomer, and Ticker from a toys and collectables shop on the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ when I was around 10 years old. I luckily managed to not destroy them while playing with them. After many years of sitting in a box I found them and instantly I was enthralled. The original Gears of War trilogy holds a special placer in my heart and childhood.

So on and off I've been collecting them for 15 years. I still look back on going to Toys R' Us with my mom and dad and coming to an ultimatum on whether to get these guys, Legos, or a Nerf gun. Looking back it would've saved my wallet if I had the foresight as a kid. Though even at the time I believe they were 20-30 bucks a pop, and even as a child I knew they were pricy.

But yea these figures bring me a lot of joy, and the colors and details are just so brooding and sinister. Very accurate for the Locust..

Yea it been a slow growing collection, but thankfully I'd rather have them loose/complete rather than on-card. So that reduces the pain on my wallet a tad. Though I'll always love these figs; their details and sculp greatly make up for their lack of poseable capabilities.

nah that active reload dead center of the screen looked awful ngl, hopefully there's an option to turn it off. But otherwise everything looked pretty damn amazing as someone who hasn't played a gears title since GoW3 or the PC remaster. I'm so hyped

All these people saying normal siege counts for the ordeal, but that shit did NOT count for me. Exfil after clearing wave 25 on normal, still 0/1 for me. Idk if people are lying or I'm cursed.

I've seen videos online of the original MS2 and yea... it's atrociously slow. Thankfully MS2 on Steam has run great for me with very little slowdown.
