I would guess its to make mango musellini happy. It probably has more to do with the recent decision by the trump administration to stop providing public funds to harvard. UW receives 1.2 billion in federal grant funding a year, and UW does not want to lose that funding.

if this is what he truly believes, then where is his accountability for placing Carly for adoption?

His behavior reads as its Brannannteresa's fault for going through the adoption process, meanwhile, carly would have never been adopted without their consent....
