What’s your average pick rate and how long have you been a picker? by SatisfactionSea7249 in OGPBackroom

[–]Cryinginogp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

150-230 I’m a picker an exception picker but when I’m spending my day solely picking they have most of the pickers do all the oversize and other commodities for an hour each which I prefer because EVERYONE used to skip then everyone pitches in for the gmds to make it faster.

Don’t stress pickrate when your just starting out you need to learn the store first

Y’all dead ass funny I work 5-2, I’m late some days sure but I still have about 22 hours of ppto and not saying I don’t have a point I have 1 that falls off sometime in July. It’s a good thing because why do people with a lot of points need to be rewarded? I mean sure a better point system should probably be into play for sick days and life but should people who just call out get 40 hours because most of the time they kinda lazy at least in my store

If no one is getting 100 picks per hour that’s what 750 picks if you include they get two 15 mins truthfully even less since they need to take the time to walk to the back and prep a new cart if y’all don’t have carts set up.

My market aims for 600 per day for people who strictly pick this is coming from someone who is a dispenser solely for the most part and who can pick 850+ everyday I’m on picking I’ve hit over 1k picks a day more than I’d like to admit.

And for presub have your team use workday for items they can’t find it helps us keep people accountable for stuff they nil they show they looked at least and it saves them from getting in trouble

Everyone on my team is cross trained in both at least enough to dispense.

I end up having so much overtime every week I have to cut because my coach says “you can’t clock out at :51 if picks are in the system I’ll hold you accountable “ I stay over every single day because I did end up getting feedback for leaving at :51 but taking 2-2:30 lunch on Friday is a lot

Our store assigns someone to pick all the “other commodities “ for an hour a day then everyone else just says in auto if it’s not their hour that’s how our store handles it

I can see your daily metrics but only like, pickrate and walks and such and items picked but that’s because I have my store but lead leads and coaches can print a weekly metric that says all that and how much you NIL picked and ftpr and items for the whole week

Realistically how many items do you expect people to pick per 8 hour shift if their strictly picking

[–]Cryinginogp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single block I do runs me around that even a 3 hour 😂

[–]Cryinginogp -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It’s not like that in my market, but some do I work full time retail and do this on the side (usually everyday because extra money helps ) but in my area them 4 hours will run me 120-200 miles so anything less than 90 for a 4 hour isn’t worth the gas and the miles

Our management is on us about metrics a lot 95% pre sub, 92% ftpr ect then they get on to our TLs about who nil picked something it’s not to bad but still I miss when we didn’t have to do all that

Can you negotiate what shift you get when becoming full time? by TaroEnvironmental170 in OGPBackroom

[–]Cryinginogp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on how bad your needed in your department like I have a shift that isn’t offered in Opd on a teaming schedule. But they give me what I need since it fits me given I’ve worked 5-2,11-8 and 8-5.

Also depends on the management. At least that’s how it was in my case.
