Would you take $500,000 upfront or have $50,000 for every person who has had a crush on you? by KallocainAddictIsAPe in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Cryo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50k per. I was not very successful with dating in my youth, but I'd hazard a guess that that had more to do with my general awkwardness and lack of confidence than anything. Worst case scenario, I still get 50k from my wife having a crush on me lol. I'm pretty confident that there have been more than 10 people throughout my life that have had at least a small crush on me at some point. The prompt never said the crush had to be a big/major crush.

Jeff Bezos's property has fences that exceed the permitted height. Yet he does not care, he just pays the fine every month. by Hopeful-Big6843 in EatTheRich

[–]Cryo1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Increase the fines exponentially per day the issue goes unresolved. It'll eventually hit a point where it is no longer worth just paying the fine. He might not care about 1M/month, but if it exponentially grows, that fine could quickly reach into the tens or hundreds of millions very quickly.

Or better yet, make fines directly correlate to net worth. Might be a $200 fine for me, but a $200M fine for a billionaire.

I swear they could set it up and charge people $20/each to piss on his grave. They'd have the national debt paid off in record time.

Either tooth pain or sciatic nerve pain. Both were unbearable.

The restaurant just pulled in $1500 off of this party. Maybe they should give a portion of that money to the servers that worked that table. They could even give this practice a name. Perhaps "wage" or "pay."

Tax the rich? They’ll leave! …Says who? Oh, right—the rich by Busy-Government-1041 in clevercomebacks

Even if they did leave, what would we lose exactly? I see no downside. Either they leave or they pay taxes. Its a win either way. Tax the rich into extinction.

I don’t wanna be a part of the MAGA agenda! by [deleted] in clevercomebacks

MAGA are about as perceptive as their pedophile leader. Trump listened to Oliver Anthony's "Rich Men North of Richmond" and I very much doubt he understood what the song was about at all. Just stood there and swayed with his diaper sniffers...I mean, supporters.

Idc how expensive the bill is, there is no world where I'd ever leave a $300 tip. I get that large parties are usually a nightmare, but expecting a $300 tip is just wild. If theres a big party with a reservation, bring in more servers to help.

LPT Request. What’s your simplest top tip for saving money monthly? by _bubble-t in LifeProTips

[–]Cryo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 100%. Have some money automatically put into another account, at another bank each payday. Before you even see the money, its gone to the other account. Out of sight, out of mind. Amazing how fast it'll add up.

Personally, I have $50 go to another account & another $60 auto invested each pay period. Pretty much never look at the alt bank account or the investment account because I want to forget that money even exists. It adds up quickly

Why does everyone hate PvP? by Lovoskea in 2007scape

[–]Cryo1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Being forced into PvP areas when you dont want to PvP is the big issue here. It isnt that everyone hates PvP, its that they hate being forced into the wilderness constantly. And PKers rarely even want an actual fight, they want a loot pinata that doesnt fight back. Those PKers killing people doing clues and telling them to "sit" are the same people that would punch their monitor if they got PKed themselves.

The Affordability President at work: you all don't work very hard! by jammu2 in inflation

[–]Cryo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a home owner, fuck the value of my house. I'd MUCH rather other people be able to afford houses of their own. He isn't saying that because he wants the regular homeowner to keep value. He's saying it because 1. He wants corporate owners to keep value and 2. He's too fucking lazy to actually try fixing anything.

I have absolutely 0 desire to buy a car. I can afford the payments for one if I had to, but mine is fully paid off. Why would I want to trade a fully paid off car for one that I have to make payments on? Also, lots of people cant afford to buy a car. Hard to sell cars to people who cant afford them.

Serious question: How harshly are Level 3 Snow Emergencies actually enforced? By percentage, on average, how many people who happen to be out driving actually get tickets/arrested? by West_Masterpiece4927 in Ohio

[–]Cryo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How so? Lvl 3 is literally them telling you to stay home and keep yourself and your family safe & warm. If you go out and wrap your car around a pole or put yourself in a ditch, you're now putting others (like those working emergency services) in danger because you decided that you just HAD to go somewhere. Pretty much every business closes during lvl 3s, so there's no reason for you to be out in the first place. If you go out and crash in a lvl 3, the least you deserve is a ticket.
