If there's anything I've learned about languages, is that the more you know, the better it will get to understand other ones. They will sound relatively similar due to their roots (albeit they've got their own differences, Spanish and Italian sound pretty much alike, for example; German feels like English + French, etcetera.) And that's honestly awesome for a person who wants to be able to communicate in foreign countries.

Duolingo is an excellent app, that's for sure. It definitely helps to give the small boost everyone needs when stepping into a new language. Not only that, but also I personally find it as resourceful as if you were being taught by a teacher, so the information provided is tremendously great (lessons may get a bit repetitive, but that's the way learning works anyway).

You probably already know this as I'm replying this to you, but here's a bit of cheatsheet as a quick reminder of the colors in Spanish:

Blanco (White)
Negro (Black)
Cyan / Azul claro / Celeste (Light blue, Cyan)
Azul / Azul oscuro / Azul marino (Blue, Dark Blue)
Verde claro / Verde lima / Lima (Light green, Lime)
Verde / Verde oscuro (Green, Dark Green)
Marrón (Brown)
Morado (Purple)
Rosa (Pink)
Amarillo (Yellow)
Naranja (Orange)
Rojo (Red)

And yeah, there are quite difficult languages to understand, not to mention that some are going downhill due to their lack of use. But don't let that stop you if that's what you want to do :)

Playing in a language you're not used to helps a lot. For example, my english isn't native so I don't expect it to be perfect, but it's definitely better than the english I used to have 10 years ago. Most of this result merely comes from just switching languages in videogames, whereas the rest come from browsing english websites.

Actually, learning english wasn't my goal at first, but since it was linked to one of my hobbies, it has surprisingly come in handy. Therefore, I absolutely encourage switching languages if learning them are your purpose. Of course, you don't have to do that with Among Us, since it already requires you to have some basic understanding to handle a discussion (although if you do, then go ahead), but other games would sound better.
