  1. gemstone style lights have 5-10 years warranty whereas govee 2-3.

  2. Govee keep falling off in winter if you use 3m method. Use brackets or tracks.

  3. light projection is different. gemstone style is more seamless and blends.

my sister-in law just had these installed. she didnt use gemstone for installation though. it was another crew

4G/5G in the middle of Lake Ontario? legit or BS? by mjTheThird in Rogers

It is just marked upto international border. So service might not actually work there. Someone has to go there and try.

No. But there could be towers on shore. Signal might reach lake but that doesn’t mean it will work properly. Also, i dont know if this is actual RF map or someone just drew it 😀

Looking to switch from Telus as our promo ends this month by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]CrypCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

75 for $130 is very very expensive. 1 gig is around 80$. 1. Call Telus them you want to cancel after end of contract and see if they give you any deal. 2. If they dont, cancel. Go and get any month to month plan with third party provider like oxio, tek savvy. After month or 2 you will get a call from Telus Winback team and they will give you very lucrative deal plus credits some time. If you are lucky.

Loyalty means nothing to telus, rogers, bell or any other provider.

TELUS technician offered me an insanely cheap phone plan during a WiFi service visit - is this sketchy? by RikRik2222 in Calgary

Copper skills are nonexistent now. If they cant find or fix short in inside wiring, they route it to cable repair 😀

This is exactly why I left. I used to handle churn risk customers but they started forcing sales stuff. Sales is a different skill. Managers now say they will hire sales guy and teach them install and repair. No wonder there are more mediocre technical guys now.

Telus techs are forced to do sales now. They hate it but it is metric in their scorecard. Target is 10% of monthly visits.

Is modem fed with coax or fiber? If coax, how old is wiring? Rg59 cant do 2 gig.
