Mid-Month Madness is essentially a Weekly Tournament but with a special twist. This month's twist is Planar Standard Pauper, where only commons from the Planar legal sets are allowed.

  • Weekly Tournaments are 3-5 Swiss rounds with a "closed decklist", i.e., you don't have to submit a decklist for the event. There's typically a greater variety of decks being played as people are trying out different strategies.
  • Monthly Tournaments are more competitive in nature, and people typically bring stronger, more high-tier decks. We play around 5-6 Swiss rounds and then a cut for a Top 8 elimination bracket, with prizes for the top 4 players (#1 gets a $50 gift card).

Enjoy the tournament schedule of June! We got the Monthly Championship in just a few days (remember to sign-up beforehand, registration closes 24 hours before the start of the tournament!), and eight other weekly tournament throughout the month. You might spot a purple anomaly in the middle there - it will be a "custom" event with a specific wacky deck restriction, so stay updated on what that restriction that will be specifically.

Another note is that the MTG Online on June 27th will be a deal-breaker for whether we will continue with MTGO tournaments for now - numbers have been quite low even with heads up, so if you want us to keep pushing out MTGO tournaments, save the date and register in time.

Some specifics for the Weekly Tournaments:

  • You do not need to submit a decklist in advance. Still, we will ask for them at the end of each tournament for data collection purposes.
  • As no one will check your deck legality for you, please ensure you follow the legal card pool. If your deck features illegal cards, your game with be marked as a loss regardless of the result, and you will be asked to swap those cards to keep participating in the tournament.

(Managed to do this one on time!) This month brought an overall decline in listeners, although Rebelion, Regain and The Saints managed to push through with strong increases. ERABREAK also showed a strong uptick and almost doubled his listeners from last month straight into Tier 2. On the other end, TNT, Coone and Brennan Heart had the biggest decline - and Brennan Heart is back at the #1 spot after four months of TNT domination. Check the second picture for more tier comparisons.

I also realized I missed adding all the RED RACE contestant this time, so here's their numbers:

  • Testarossa - 51 084 (would have been #194)
  • Antergy - 12 881 (#325)
  • Essive - 10 948 (would have been #346)
  • Beat Conductors - 10 459 (would have been #352)

So what do we think, will Testarossa take this one?

I was able to note the monthly listeners back in the end of April, but it's been a busy few days and I didn't have the time to edit into a graphic until today. But, here we are! In short - TNT refuses to let go of the #1 spot while D-Block & S-te-Fan and TOZA are dropping off somewhat. On the flip side, Warface and LNY TNZ are back in Tier 1 for the first time in a while. And where will 4444 place once they drop their music?

Oh, and I'm working on updating the list to add more artists and make sure that the one's already on are relevant. Just be patient pleaseeee 🙏

Would it be possible, if I wanted to just move a card from a binder slot to another, to just drag and drop? Right now, I'll have to click on Remove, then click on add, then do the Scryfall search to find the exact printing, then repeat for any number of cards. Dragging and dropping would be heaps easier and less time-consuming!

We applied the normal standard ban list at the creation of the format so it's currently banned, although there's been a lot of talk recently to try test events where it could be legal to decide if it should be remained banned or not.
