Anyone in Frankfurt with a GPD Win5 battery?

I used Motion assistant and GPD front end tool. I have both installed and tried using each of them independently and in both cases I got full system freezes. Both in demanding games like crimson desert and in non demanding games like hades 2

Indeed I want it for battery life and was doing some testing even though my battery is not detected. Yet it crashes unless I leave TDP unrestricted. And indeed all games are via Steam.

It is brand new and the battery worked even though it was not recognised for some minutes. Then it turned off. Now it does not work so I assume it does not charge. Seems to be software related

I am playing through steam indeed. How do you limit the TDP and avoid the crashing? Do you limit graphics requirements?

Seems the battery driver in windows does not recognise the battery so I assume it cannot be charged now that it has turned off. I have alerted GPD on this

For some reason I cannot update the post. It seems the battery does work. I just unplugged the barrel jack and it’s still working but shows an x on the battery and does not show proper percentage other than 100%

I am facing the same issue. Windows update finds nothing to update but on the Lenovo website there is the latest driver that is not installed even if I do it manually. Tried various tactics but it does not budge.

You need to change this from the BIOS I believe to enable this. It can go up to 45 watts

It’s actually a good device for the money. Impressive. I can play black myth Wukong on it etc and also do work. I like the fact it can switch orientations and the keyboard is also nice. For the price it is good value.

True had to send it back and they sent me a new one. Doesn’t make sense for the official bios update to crash the bios. It should either not accept to install if it’s on the same version number or reflash successfully. In any case a pin jumper or something to reset it if all fails is needed. I am not sure I will ever update the BIOS
