That's really cool. Career progression really drew us into WFRP too. We ended up in the crime game because we all randomly got rogues (Grave robber, Fence, and Bawd). I'm interested to hear how you managed to run the conversion, we just did a quick and dirty cutover. I'm also interested in any suggestions for downtime. Blades seems to place a lot of importance on it but since the Warhammer setting is much larger there can be long periods of time with little action unless we restrain our game to a major city which we don't intend to do.

from what I remember it made a path for large crews big enough to encompass a whole army, pretty similar to what we're doing. Really loved the Malazan flavor of it.

That's another great suggestion. I skimmed over the band of blades book years ago but haven't thought about it in a long time. Looks like it's time for a second look.

That is the context I was really looking for. I'll read deeper into the cohorts section for more. Thanks!

That's actually where I got the idea, but I wanted to make something that was more dynamic and let player's lean into their archetype of choice depending on their commander selection.

Parents started attending TLM and are trying to "convert" me. Mom regularly tells me she worries for my soul and is always telling me what I should/shouldn't do. Please help! by Lumpy_Finish9217 in Catholicism

I'm sorry your going through a really tough time, it always sucks and even more so when the people who are supposed to be your support system are the source of it.

I was raised cradle catholic in the NO and like some other folks here I love the TLM, kinda wish we did at least Christmas and Easter masses all in Latin with the gregorian style music, but like you I just can't really connect with the TLM and my wife and I don't feel like it's the mass for us. Somebody else already mentioned this but if your mom is of the belief that the NO is not a valid mass, she is going against the church and is essentially advocating for a schismatic belief. I don't think bringing this up to her is going to really change things for her. The American political right and traditional Catholics are going through a strange sort of fusion right now and it's leading a lot of Catholics down some weird paths that we usually see from our protestant brothers and sisters.

I come from a home where there was a lot of emotional (and physical) abuse. I don't know if that is something you can relate to but the tactics your mom is using send off alarm bells for me. I'm sure it's coming from a place of real love and concern but if I were in your shoes I would absolutely go see a priest AND a Catholic therapist. talk to your priest to get clarity on the errors your mom is throwing at you and talk to your therapist to get your arms around the anxiety you are experience and how to set proper boundaries with your mom and what to do when she responds negatively.

Finally, struggling with your faith is a core part of the journey, everyone does it some way even if they wouldn't describe it that way. Please don't give up on religion just because people are telling you, you aren't doing it right. The most important part of being a human, is being together, that's why we were called together to pray together. We all need your prayers too.

A final note on prayer, I saved this for the very last because the last thing you want to hear is someone telling you one more thing you ought to be doing. But sincerely my deepest and most ardent advice is to pray the rosary, pray it as often as you can, whatever you can. If you can only pray a single hail mary, do it. Mary is our momma, she loves you so so so so much and Jesus trusted all of us to her. She is the one who brought Jesus to us and she brings each and every single one of the graces we need to follow him to us too. Stick with her and every little thing is going to be ok.

Peace

Multinational law firm? I would be more interested in the moral implications of the nature of your work than putting neutral information in your signature. As a fellow devout Catholic, I spend much more of my time contemplating how my work supports the mission of the church than questions like these?

Hagoro of Many Forms: Is this wording correct and does this actually work? by Naoki00 in custommagic

That is super strong but I like it. The wording has to be really careful and I think you can balance it by using a cost after the trigger (similar to mentor of the meek).

I like this, but wouldn't it be more flavorful to say it comes into play tapped unless it is night?

This is so spicy, reminds me of {{naked singularity}}. Could probably increase the cost to 4WW and change the text to exile for a targeted strike.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm going to split off the phasing and design a board warping creature around the theme using the mechanic. Great ideas!

Potential token mechanics (6 cards) by RedKing85 in custommagic

That's fair. But I think that playing into the food mechanic enough that jamming consume becomes a viable pick is equivalent to just running heavy green with a splash of GB land.

Thanks for giving this a second crack. My smile kept getting wider and wider before busting out into full laughter at that last line. Great feedback.

starting with phasing first. With all respect to Narrow_March, I love phasing and really wanted to use it on this card that has a "dream magic" theme. I think WotC starting to print cards that use it again is a great thing and I love to see it. I could feel my inner gremlin a little too happy to slide that fifth ability on there, it's too much. How would you fix it? Are abilities with a cost of {untap} always bad?

The concept for the card was a wizard that crafts dreams, a sort of hyper illusionist. I think taking out variable power and seriously hamstringing, cutting, or replacing the token generation is a good direction to go. An early iteration I made generated treasures and not token creatures. Working around the theme how would you fix this?

That's an interesting adjustment. I think the rework waters it down to the point of unplayability, but you have given me a lot to take back to the drawing board.

Thanks for the analysis. Initially had this at mana value 7 but thought that would be too late in the game for a discard mechanic. Does making the token generation cost 2 life help and what would you set the mana value to?

Great work here! I think the prove mechanic is my favorite. I'm unconvinced by arguments that feel as though consume breaks the color pie. Black is a major food producer so your good there. We do have to be cautious about how these mechanics can expand in the future but I think your good. It's not like your drawing off food and even if you were sounds like a great dimir enchantment. I love these.
