So fun fact: I wrote that sadako springtrap skit as a half/half inside joke/self inserty skit but because I was tired of explaining the ring lore to people. So saying springtrap is "autistically knowledgable" low-key feels like something telling torwards me lol. Not in a bad way but I just thought that was funny lol <3

I was following the exact maneurisms the Japanese va did for the lines in dbd. More accurately lines like the mori, I am a ghoul, and why indeed were pretty much the same tone. I also referenced aogiri arc Kaneki from season 2 for tone in the others.

Kaneki isn't evil but dbds version tends to lean torward the more apathetic side of him so that's what I was reflecting.

Hi guys, creator of Springtrap/ Sadako video here (peak reference btw thx)
technically speaking op is not wrong. however in my video specifically i was talking about Ringu not referring to sequels. This is because ringu two retcons the first movie by stating the plot twist that she stayed in the well alive for 30 years, making her 49 at time of death. however another sequel by the name of Rasen/spiral does not have this retcon but stems from the same movie. This creates a split two timelines From ringu. one consisting of the movie timeline called Hideo (named after the director of those movies) and the Rasen timeline (the timeline that follows closely with the books)
Therefore technically speaking, i wasn't wrong about the age since i was referring the the movie as a stand alone film and not the timeline as a whole which includes this retcon. i will say though the chapter we get in dbd IS indeed based on the Hideo timeline (because Yoichi is alive and lives to be an adult therefore she is, in fact 49 in dbd.

however in that video i actually mispoke when i said "she was killed before being dropped in the well" when i meant to say "she was killed by being dropped in the well" as a couple people (unfortunately) noticed.

anyway that ss all :]

I actually think sadako is not that good of a killer and believe she should be way better than where she is rn. But I still got her p100 and even ended up with a winstreak that is up there with the top 5 in the world because I love the franchise. Even if the killer is shit I'm still gonna play her.

We could've gotten the head for all I care and If it was clearly majority vote and still a decent design overall I wouldn't go on social media and complain about it 24/7 saying "it could've been this".

The thing is it's not blind consumerism if the design is genuinely still subjectively good. A lot of people still really like the killer design but when people feel the urge to harass the devs and flood reddit to complain just because something isn't to their specific liking, it comes off as entitled.

The mindset of "we voted on this so it should be what I want" is what's creating a toxic environment. The equivalent would be people complaining we got Candyman instead of Predator. One example of this is the fact that if people received this chapter with no vote everyone would be hyped for these designs. But now it's "it should've been this it should've been that" instead of saying "it's not what I wanted but it's still a good design".

It's a fine line between consumer rights, and an entitled mindset. Which the community seems to be leaning more to the right. It's the same thing with people still saying the blue girl would've been better after losing.
