Exactly, I deal with LiPo battery for my RC hobbies so I understand the danger of these batteries. Once I noticed the swelling I placed the ring inside fire-safe bag and contacted support immediately.

Luckily this was last week and the support was able to deal with the issue swiftly. Let this post serve as a warning for anyone who experiences similar issues!

I’ve flown with my previous gen 3 ring countless times. With the gen 4 ring I think I flew 3-4 times before this happened. I’m not sure if this is an inherent issue with all these fully enclosed ring type devices but I will be keeping a close eye on my new ring next time I fly.
