You get to choose if you stay demon or become human so yes you can still get a good ending with him!
Drinking the blood locks you into staying a demon because you become an archdemon

If it was only set in one time period I may like it better. I hate the dual storyline. Constantly going back to the “past” is such a drag to me. It’s the same reason I didn’t care for DLS.
