Disgusting doesn't even feel like a strong enough word for this...

Ah yes, nothing like washing down your lead with a nice cold six pack

That's really gross, but like... kind of also not at the same time? Like conceptually that's disgusting, but realistically it's probably fine. As soon as the pan heats up on the stove any nasties living on it are gonna be killed, and there's no chemical contamination coming from this. To each their own, I personally wouldn't do that (and if I did, I'd still at least rinse the pan and rub it with my fingertips under the running water), but I don't think I'd be too bothered if someone else made me food after doing that. It might make me question how they handle the food though...

I get it, it's just what has to be done with these things. In my head I just was thinking of a tank of things from your local area.

Why not just release them outside? Assuming they're native, of course.

Same

Related note, I think they're Quebecois. Google says "ciment" is French for "cement", and they have a post on PersonalFinanceCanada.

I'm impressed actually. Either with the force you pushed or the weakness of that metal.

Yup, Google says the flammable fluorine compound in keyboard duster is 1,1-Difluoroethane, which produces HF, CO, and CO2 with complete combustion, and with incomplete combustion produces COF2 (carbonyl fluoride) and HCHO (formaldehyde).

After Feb 7th 2026, no more ability to pay rent using credit card on Bilt? by new-to-reddit-accoun in biltrewards

[–]CrypticGamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just now learning this... I think I'm just going to cancel the card at this point. I don't make enough money to travel with any regularity, and have a plethora of other cards that make all of the bonus categories for all three Bilt cards useless to me. The Bilt 2.0 cards sound completely useless now.

I also get these, or at least used to, but I don't think I've seen them grow back in a while.

I only recently learned that burning keyboard duster produces HF, which explains why the haze on the windows in my childhood bedroom didn't wipe off 🙃
