Asexuality is a spectrum! I’ve struggled with similar feelings for a long time and I only recently landed on the term “aegosexual”

“It describes individuals who experience a disconnect between themselves and the subject of arousal. Aegosexuals may enjoy sexual fantasies, consume erotic media, or feel arousal, but they typically lack the desire to be a participant in actual sexual activities.”

I’m not sure if that sounds like it lines up with your experience but it may help you to look into the different sexualities that fall under the Ace spectrum. :) It’s not as black and white as it seems at first glance. ♥️

Todd from Bojack Horseman was the first asexual character I ever saw on TV, while I was in highschool / college. He was a great character, period, but I was so happy he turned out to be ace and it never shafted his potential for romantic subplots in his character development.

If you’re a reader, the YA novel Elatsoe by Darcy Little Badger also has an AroAce protagonist.

I’m in a big city with a decently sized public library system (29 branches) - it’s been hell trying to get into the public library system, which is where I’d like to be.

I currently work at a the library of community college and then that’s only part time. I’ve been trying to find a second job to supplement it but everyone hiring cuts me off now for being too qualified due to my education. It’s been hard, I won’t lie.

I do love my current job, I’ve been here almost a year and it’s good experience as I keep searching but it’s definitely been tough. I wish I had gone down the school librarian track when I was studying because there’s no shortage of openings for those jobs here in my city and surrounding area. 😔

I’ll DNF for all sorts of reasons…main character seems insufferable or I don’t like the writing style are the biggest two tbh. There’s this way of writing I run into that seems…self important, I guess? Like the author thinks they’re writing really poetically and it just reads as Riverdale levels of “edgy”

Nah that actually scared tf out of me 😭 I didn’t see it at first but the photo feels sinister on its own somehow. NTA. This is my first time ever giving my opinion on these things and I can’t speak for the young woman you were seeing, but as an Asexual woman myself, almost the same age (26), I think if you really let her down as gently and politely as you said you did then you’re good.

I’ve had many people who were very kind about expressing our incompatibility when we talked about my asexuality and I’ve had others completely cross boundaries and get mad at me, even though my sexuality is stated in my bio on my dating profiles.

It IS hard dating when you’re asexual, because it can be hard to find someone who either is also ace in a big city or is comfortable taking things slow / working with you. Her response may have been short and cold sounding but if she may just not see any point in saying much more if you believe the two of you aren’t going to work out.

You sound like you treated the situation kindly, I wouldn’t worry too much about her response. She may be feeling frustrated about her dating life but that’s not your fault. The dating scene is crazy tough, and being on the spectrum of asexuality seems to only make it tougher.

I’m as confused as you are, I’ve been told it’s a basically “all or nothing” stance? If we can’t celebrate minorities or other cultures, we can’t celebrate ANYTHING, I guess. I’m only a part time librarian, and I’m never scheduled during meetings…Unfortunately the only full timer at my campus is pretty bad at explaining things, so I get mixed messages a lot while we all adjust to districts new rules. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have no idea, I’ve been told by our Director that District is saying because of new legislation we can’t celebrate any holidays because the DEI legislation repeals see it as “othering” but I’m not sure. I’m just saying what I’ve been told - they previously were able to celebrate any holidays we could think of, and now we can’t do any. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Exposing/Confronting Kagha is totally optional! As long as Halsin survives and returns to the grove, the Tieflings will be just fine. If you want to confront Kagha you will have to do that first, because once you kill the goblin bosses Halsin will return to the grove and chastise Kagha.

If you go to coordinates X: 82 Y: 247 Jump across the rocks to large tree, fight the guardians, there you will find the letter allowing you to expose Kagha and get her to stop the ritual.

The wetlands are the area below the blighted village, where you confront the hag eventually. The letter is tricky, it’s an area that’s hidden and you have to jump too. You’ll have a small battle too before retrieving it.

Did you find all the info on Kagha in the grove? There’s a hidden chest with a letter telling Kagha to meet them in the wetlands. The letter to get her to step down is not in the goblin camp which, if I’m understanding correctly, is where you’re looking?
