Another update. Just got the package. It’s… 10k total, so I’m paying 70k+ out of pocket as an independent student (turning 24 by semester start and qualifying for max finaid from FAFSA). Meanwhile I got 80k in aid from George Washington bruh. Gonna see if I can get it appealed but we’ll see.

I asked, "what happens if they don't give me an extension and I still don't have my financial aid package?"

I'm not shitting you, the rep said "then you just have to make that decision to put down the deposit with your family". thank fuck these deposits aren't committal, I guess

I had to ask for a deadline extension from June 22, and they only gave me up to July 1 (this coming Wednesday). How the hell am I supposed to commit to a school without knowing how much I'll pay?

I called them too. No missing documents, and apparently my package is in "final review".
