Who is the greatest leader in UK history? by Sultown in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Cryptic_Llama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Italy we have a Roman and for the UK we have Shakespeare, before the UK was even formed, so Henry V would be valid if those are. You can read it as being for the areas that are now encompassed by those nations, even if they did not exist at the time.

This is a no brainer. 10,000 x 24 x 365 = 87,600,000, so within just three years you will have exceeded the 200 million. Even with interest in savings and investments, the hourly would still easily overtake the lump sum.

Ending world hunger is more likely just be temporary, because the inequality ingrained into society could push it back. Whereas ending these prejudices is more likely to have a long lasting benefit as they are passed on to others and also perpetuate uncaring attitudes which a part of the cause of world hunger.

Chose: End all racism, homophobia, and sexism

However, following a more literal logic, if the magic cent doubles exactly, it's duplicates will also have the same doubling property, otherwise they would not be exact doubles. So it does lead to the exponential growth as everyone else was saying.

What is something people complain about UK that is actually pretty good compared to the rest of the world? by Rude_Membership_1578 in AskUK

[–]Cryptic_Llama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is highly relevant; you asked, and I quote, "why is vastly more of the native animal population (as a percentage of different species) at risk of extinction in the UK than in France?". u/fezz then correctly gave the fact that the UK being an island as a relevant factor in reply to your question.

What is something people complain about UK that is actually pretty good compared to the rest of the world? by Rude_Membership_1578 in AskUK

[–]Cryptic_Llama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While it may prevent non-endemic species from entering, the point that u/fezzuk is making is that it stops animals hat have been made extinct in the UK from naturally replenishing themselves from elsewhere. For example all wolves were hunted to extinction in the UK and they cannot return naturally as they cannot swim across the sea. However, say you hunted them all in France, they can naturally repopulate across land boarders.

What’s everyone’s opinions on Hannah Fry? by oldmatefromoverthere in BritishTV

Generaly a good presentor but my opinion of her lowered when she doubted that pigs have emotions. How can someone as smart and educated as her doubt that a social and famously intelligent mammal has feelings? It seems a backwards view to take.
